Got this for my son for Christmas. Was a little leary about the quality of the lures but they are actually very nice. I do a lot of fishing and have some cheap lures and expensive lures. I would buy this for myself. I will say the box isn't very good but the tackle is worth it. Gave it 4 stars only because the box is cheaply made but it works for a starter kit.

I was hoping to test these before winter, but even the river now has too much ice. I wanted to write this review before spring, as some might want give this to an angler for a present over the holidays.It seems like a good value. All of the crank baits have small weights and make a rattling noise. I like the pliers -- it cuts braided line, can put on split shots and remove hooks from fish, and can spread open split rings. I’ve always had good results with soft baits similar to the ones included in this kit.I deducted one star since I feel the listing picture is misleading. It looks like all the lures easily fit in the case, but you will need to transfer some of the contents to another case. In addition, the case I received does not match the one in the listing photo.
