A quiet and strong bubble maker for our fish
We got a male Betta and a female Betta. Wow, they are pretty. We got the pump for our own peace of mind and for the health of the fish. We have fish bowls. Within the first two weeks, the male had chewed off a lot of the female's bottom fin. So we adapted a large clear vase into a second fish bowl for her. We followed up by buying a splitter for the bubble pump. It works fine. You can see that they are getting plenty of oxygen restored to their marine medium. She came out the winner with a more complicated "castle" to swim through and her own set of decorations. She loves to snap at the bubbles, whether for an oxygen boost or as play, who knows? I'm just surprised how responsive both of them are when we enter after work or waking up in the morning. It's fun and the pump is an essential part of it. Highly recommend. I don't hear it. I'm pretty sure that I could, if I listened for it, but in everyday life, I do not. This is true after we returned our first aquarium exactly because it was too noisy. Our apartment is on the 4th floor with no neighbors on either side nor above, so it's really quiet except for normal traffic noise. We would not be able to tolerate a noisy device on the bar between the kitchen and the dining room. It's where we spend most of our time. We love to linger at the dining table for a quiet conversation after dinner or a weekend breakfast. We do not hear the pump.

Good small pump
Great for my use for it. I was rooting expensive plant cuttings and wanted to see if using an air pump in the water prop would help. Definitely was a lower noise level, but would have been too loud for me personally if it was in the same room. It is about as loud as you would expect from a small aquarium filter. One of the air stones was not pumping correctly, but there was a spare to use. The tubing is a flexible silicone type? I liked that it had a holder and the device sat in it nicely. There was extra tubing (a lot of it). I bought an addition set with a splitter, and it didnt do so well with it. Not sure if it was the pump or if it was a bad splitter. I think the pump could not handle it and was giving air to one side and not the other. I used a clothespin to direct air equally into both double pumps and that worked well.

Little, low output.
I got this for keeping a bucket of clams or oysters oxygenated while they spit out sand, and wait to be eaten. I was surprised at how little air it output. Especially since airstones do so much better at bubbles in saltwater than fresh. But hey, I just wanted a little air for a bucket, so it is good for me. I would not expect to use this for more than two gallons of aquarium. Revision Jan, '23 Add stars, there are not enough to add. I live on the coast and use this for my oyster/clam bucket. During that last 200year tide this thing floated off inside a storage bench. I found the bench and contents strew over the high tide line a couple hundred yards away. Everything soaked thru. I tossed it someplace dry figuring I would give it a try before tossing it. After all, the thing warns not to let it get wet or it will fail. Guess what, works fine. ******* Seven stars.

Fantastic - NOT for 15 gallon tanks, however.
I bought this as a secondary air pump for my 10 gallon tank, I'm attaching a nano filter from aquarium co-op to it. The air pump works great, but I wouldn't use this to aerate a tank larger than 5 gallons by itself. That being said, it's very quiet and I love that it comes with it's own air stone. The air stone itself produces nice bubbles. It takes up almost no space and fits on the side of the tank quite nicely. I would get a check valve with this, but that's with any air pump.

Quiet and small
Bought this to use with a small sponge filter and it works great! It doesn’t make much noise, it’s super quiet like a refrigerator hum. The pump is small and fits in your palm. Great purchase!
