I won't lie. Im not sure why i bought this. It's one of those tools that sounds good on paper but ultimately doesnt see any action for me because I've never had a job that really required this tool absolutely. However, over time, this tool has slowly won me over. It's been a very dependable piece of kit in my toolbox. Let me explain. First of all, this unit has never let me down. When you power it on it comes to life. When you need it brighter or dimmer it will do it. This thing has always worked whenever I called upon it without hassle or any difficulty. Just from that along I think it's worth it. Second of all, while the picture quality isn't the best, it has always been able to get me a good enough picture. By that I mean while I won't be generating ultra high definition images from this unit, I have always been able to see what I want to see. Case in point, I once used this to look inside and around components in my cars drivetrain. It was perfectly serviceable for that use. The adjustment in brightness was always enough to help me resolve what i needed to see. Again not high def but it got the job done. Ultimately because of these two factors, I do see myself using it more and more. Gone are the days of "I will disassemble this to look inside". When now I can just stick the boroscope in there. Overall great piece of kit for the price. Not the most premium option but its definitely serviceable as a tool.

Works great and the photos come out very clear. It is easy to use. I bought it to scope inside of the walls of my condo to see if there is mold in them. Sure enough I found a ton of mold in the walls where I suspect the gutters are leaking into them. I needed proof to send to my condo HOA that there's mold inside the walls that they need to address along with the water intrusion (so far they refuse - don't ever buy a condo.) The camera has several lens so you can switch between them to get different views into whatever you are scoping it into. I'm a novice with this and found it very easy to use.

Very easy to use to access a very restricted area in the foundations of the house, easy to record playback and take photos. I'm sure this will be used for a variety of jobs, very pleased with the picture quality. Difficult to direct initially but this was due to our poor technique rather than the unit itself, soon got the hang of it. Good product for the price

Good Value for the price point. The DS-300 is handy and well built For taking pictures and video, it always overlays the time/date in the corner. I asked customer support and they were unable to get this function added/ removed. This is a budget model, A higher end has 2 cameras 1 concentric and 1 perpendicular to the end lens to give you a better view of what you are probing (front and sideways) The Battery that came with my unit lasted about 2 years, but it can be replaced with an 18650 NiMH cell, if you are capable of soldering and repairing electronics.
