Q: Has anybody ever actually got hold of their “24/7” tech support, Because I can’t?

Yes, but the effort was FRIUTLESS, no solution was achieved.

Q: Can I remove the tank if I want to store the toner for a couple months while I’m away?

There's really no need to remove the toner tank. Because toner is a dry powder, it's not like a period of non-use will make it dry up and stop functioning When you're done using the printer, make sure you shut it off with the printer's power button so it can do a full shutdown.

Q: Can it scan in color to an sd card? i realize it only prints b&w, but does it scan color?

Yes it will scan in Color to your computer then you have to transfer it to SD card
