So I buy straightening kits a couple times a year to help keep my locks in check. I have a beach wave that is NOT cute. But the kits help keep my hair straight and frizz free when its no longer strait. This was my first time using this kit. I have a callogen conditioner by this brand that I love, so I figured I'd try their kit. This kit works very well and the end result was very soft, shiny, healthy looking hair. And bonus it did not lighten my color. Some kits do. Now the bad part. The straightening creme is VERY strong. Prepare yourself for watery eye, tingling nose hair, burning throat, chest on fire, and the need for fresh air, during application. I always do this in my bathroom with windows open, a fan, and a vent; but really ...outside would have been better for this kit. I honestly wasnt sure I'd make it through the application and almost gave up. But i pushed through it. After it is processed and dried its more tolerable. Putting a straight iron to it caused a bit of a steam that was a bit rough but tolerable. I did not have any skin reactions. And once it was done and washed out, it left my hair smelling clean. Some kits leave an odor for a day or two but surprisingly didn't. I gave it 5 star because the end result is amazing. But prepare yourself with a well ventilated area. I

Exactly what I wanted!! I’ve used this product several times and it makes my hair so soft and straight!! You do need to make sure you use it in a very well ventilated area as it gives off fumes. And, you need someone to help you to make sure the back of your hair gets straightened

Good product, my hair is unbelievably different and smooth, I did not like how strong was the chemical at all! I thought I was gonna pass out, my eyes and nose were burning till I thought I was just gonna stop, I guess my advise, do not do it on an enclosed space, def some where you can have some air flow going. The results are amazing!!! Totally worth my 4hrs invested.

I have used a few keratin treatments before, but this was a first from this seller. Using this product was like participating in a Fear Factor challenge. I followed the steps as directed, and when I began adding product to my sectioned hair, the challenges started. By the end of section 1 (challenge 1), my eyes were burning, and I nearly coughed up a lung due to how strong the product was. By the end of section 2, I was standing in front of the a/c for fresh air and coolness due to my inability to breathe or see. And by the end of section 3, I felt like I had been sitting in a room with Snoop Dog and Willie Nelson for 48 straight hours. I pushed through to finishing all 4 sections, but after having the product on my hair for only 15 minutes, I tapped out and washed it out, wasting $25 on this horrible, inhumane product. It took 6 shampoo sessions to get the smell completely out of my hair and 2 days of open windows to eradicate the smell from my house. *Additional info: My hair is not dyed and has not had a keratin treatment or texturizer on it in 3 years. Also, the bathroom window was open!

Excellent hair treatment. It leaves hair soft, shiny, and healthier from the first use. Easy to apply and smells great. Highly recommended.

I was DETERMINED to make this product work! Packaging was perfect. Came with gloves and everything you see in the photo. However sizes are pretty small. I have fairly long hair and I only bought 1 box and had to really ration how I spread it on different sections of my hair. When you first open it, it smells pleasant but after a while it started to give me a headache. I’m not usually sensitive to smells so I didn’t think anything of it. But when I started applying heat both with my blow dryer and flat iron to set the product like in the instructions I started gasping for air and couldn’t breathe, I started coughing, my eyes were watering and my throat and eyes felt like they were burning! Which I was already aware was a known side effect from this product per reading the previous reviews. But I was DETERMINED I had already started and there was no turning back now! I opened a window for more ventilation and used my husband’s construction fan & took breaks breathing fresh air outside of my bathroom until I finished. And I was ecstatic with the results. A few hours of suffering for manageable silky straight hair that didn’t cost me hundreds of thousands in a salon. I couldn’t complain and was very happy. I will be buying again once it wears off for re-application! Pros: 1. It leaves hair silky straight. 2. If done correctly you won’t need a flat iron until it wears off. All I had to do was blow dry, didn’t need to use a brush while I dried, perfect for wash and go! 3. If you want Asian straight hair you got it! This product will do that! 4. Box says it will last about 12 weeks! (Less if you wash hair more frequently/ swim in pool/beach) Cons: 1. The chemical fumes causing allergic reaction, trouble breathing, burning sensation of eyes and throat, and blurred watery vision. 2. Not enough product in 1 if you have long/thick hair. 3. For me personally I started to develop a lot of dandruff and scalp irritation which was fixed with some oiling and scalp moisturizer. 4. Hair is silky straight but no volume, bounce, or movement without styling just limp hair.

The product left my 4C type hair soft and manageable. However, nothing could have prepared me for the fumes that came off the product. I was choking, my eyes tearing and also experienced scalp burns and which tempted me to wash the product off my hair. I don't think I will be buying the product again due to the fumes.

The chemicals were so bad my nose, throat and whole airway tract were on fire. I could not breath and my eyes were watering, I could barely see what I was doing. Followed the instructions to the T, my hair was straight. Still a bit frizzy but 90% better than before keep in mind I have wavy hair. After 4-5 days it was due for another hair wash day. I use organics (personal preference), air dried my hair (due to heat and dye damage, I no longer want to encourage) and the waves were 40% back. My hair is not straight anymore. I wasted my money, time and health with this BS!!!
