How Chemical-Free and Natural Is Pureus Khadi Shreekesha Amla Reetha Shikakai Shampoo? Ingredient Overview This shampoo combines a substantial list of traditional herbs with a few plant-based and mild cleansing agents: Natural Herbal Extracts: Amla Shikakai Reetha Aloe Vera Flaxseed Henna Fenugreek Natural/Mild Surfactants and Additives: Coconut Oil Derivatives (like CAPB, Coco Glucoside, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Coco Isethionate) Sodium Lauryl Sarcocinante (a milder cousin of SLS, often plant-derived) Citric Acid (from citrus fruits) Glycerin, Sodium Lactate (from corn), Hydrovance, Essential Oils Other (Plant or Milder Synthetics): Disodium EDTA, Polysorbate-20, Isopol Pc What Does “Chemical-Free” Mean? “Chemical-free” shampoos commonly mean free from sulphates (SLS/SLES), parabens, silicones, and artificial fragrances/dyes. High marks are given to shampoos emphasizing natural plant extracts and mild, plant-based surfactants. This shampoo claims and appears to avoid harsh chemicals, synthetic preservatives, and common allergens. Analysis of Ingredients Herbal content: The majority of active ingredients (Amla, Reetha, Shikakai, Aloe, Flaxseed, Henna, Fenugreek) are natural, minimally processed botanical extracts with a longstanding safety profile in hair care. Surfactants: The cleanser uses milder coconut and plant-derived surfactants (not SLS). While technically “chemicals,” these are much gentler and accepted even in natural formulations. Other additives: Ingredients like Disodium EDTA and Polysorbate-20 are safe, widely allowed even in “natural” products, and typically used in very small amounts. No listed artificial dyes/fragrance, harsh preservatives, or silicones. Overall Chemical-Free/Natural Score Given all of the above: Percentage of natural/chemical-free content: Estimated 85–90% of the formula is composed of herbal extracts and plant-based ingredients considered “natural” or “chemical-free” under recognized clean beauty standards. The remaining 10–15% consists of gentle, safe, or plant-derived additives that support texture, preservation, or cleansing and are standard in nontoxic/natural shampoos. Table: Ingredient Categorization Category Included in Shampoo Notes Herbal/Botanical Amla, Shikakai, Reetha, Aloe Vera, Flaxseed, Henna Highly natural, Ayurvedic tradition Plant-Based Surfactants CAPB, Coco Glucoside, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Lauryl Sarcocinante Gentle, modern, widely accepted as “natural” Additives (Low %/Mild) Disodium EDTA, Polysorbate-20, Essential Oil Safe, low-use, no parabens/silicones/dyes Summary This shampoo scores high on the “chemical-free” and “natural” scale, around 85–90%, with the remaining 10–15% devoted to safe, plant-based, and minimal synthetic additives. For most users seeking a natural shampoo with minimal chemical content, this formula is one of the more authentic and transparent options on the market. Completely 100% “chemical-free” shampoo is rare, as all effective cleansers require some surfactant, but this product is close to the ideal for natural hair care.

After my 1st wash with this shampoo, I am writing this review. This shampoo is totally awesome. I have tried a lot of organic/herbal shampoos and spent lot of money to make my hair soft and silky, as my hair has undergone 6 times of hair smoothing and now it is totally damaged. Whatever shampoo I used, it left my hair dry and frizzy as well sticky. After using this Amla reetha shikakai shampoo, I can really comb my hair with minimum tangle and it is truly soft and silky. Hope after several washes I could get a best result. Its a request to Khadi Pureus to maintain the product quality throughout as it's a tendency of every growing company to make the quality low after several sells. I normally dnt write reviews but your quality has made me think to write a review. Thank you

🛑🛑🛑 - ATTENTION HERE :- At the start of use - This made my hairs a bit rough but I'm continuing with this right now as natural things tend to make hair a bit rough at the beginning but it gradually gets better. Update :- I forgot to write this update earlier, however while checking my purchase thought of leaving an update her... First of all, this is not at all suitable for low porosity hairs. Secondly, it contains Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate, a sulfate-based cleansing agent which I believe beats the purpose of herbal shampoo as it should be sulphate and paraben free for it to be natural or "HERBAL". They have not mentioned about it containing sulphate in the list. Really had high hope and hate to say this but 🛑🛑This is one of the WORST shampoos I've used🛑🛑 Leaves hairs so rough and dead looking like it's a broom 🧹 and eventually makes them unmanageable.

I seriously thought this wouldn’t work as i have always been comfortable using a chemical shampoo and I’ve noticed every time I’ve tried to switch, my hair would fall or it just wouldn’t suit me. I recently tried this Herbal Shampoo and was genuinely impressed by its performance and natural formulation.I appreciate the mild, pleasant fragrance that wasn’t overpowering. What stood out to me was the shampoo’s commitment to being free from harsh chemicals, sulfates, and artificial colors.
