I use ghee in place of butter in baked goods. It is better than butter because if you use butter, the water is evaporated as the cake bakes and the fat content isn’t enough to keep the cake moist. But if you use ghee, cake stays moist as if you had used oil, but without the harm of using a seed oil and with better flavor in my opinion than using something like avocado oil. I like this brand because it is in a glass jar, not plastic, and the price is good for an organic grass fed ghee.

This is my first time trying Ghee and I was kind of surprised to find out that it smells like caramel. That's a good thing though. I have tasted it straight out of the jar and have used it to saute some veggies... It tastes amazing! Like butter on steroids. I can't wait to try it on popcorn! I was at my local health food store today and they had the less expensive ghee there, so I figured what the heck, I would compare them. The less expensive brand is noticeably more pale, and the smell is fainter and not as nice. Tasting it straight, it definitely does not taste anywhere near as good as this brand... It almost had a chemical aftertaste to me. I have not tried cooking with it yet, but I doubt that will change my opinion. This brand of ghee may be a little more expensive than others, but it is 100% worth it to me, you can tell it's much higher quality when you have them side-by-side.

Excellent ghee for an amazing price. I've been buying this ghee for almost 2 years now and will stand by it for as long as it's available. The color just glows with nutrient density. It can be a little grainy or liquidy, which isn't a problem when cooking with it. I even eat it by the spoonful, and it has a great earthy taste. If you find it hard to manage try throwing it in the fridge overnight, then take it out and leave it on the counter all day. By that night, I've found it maintains a more solid and manageable texture for weeks at least, but stays soft. Right out of the fridge it is pretty hard to spoon out. Will start turning white when it's loosing quality. Can be dramatically slowed by storing at a cooler temperature, but stays good on the counter for months.

Best tasting Ghee I’ve had, but ghee is not my favorite so until it tastes like butter…4 stars!
