Works well for my mid length curly hair and adds shine. My 2 year old revlon didnt make my hair as smooth and often left a lot of frizz i had to straighten after. This one is more quiet and dries my hair faster making wash day quicker and easier. It is a little heavier than my revlon was but is still manageable.

I've had the Revlon One Step for years and loved it. I also have the Dyson Air Wrap and like it, but it takes too long, so I save that for when I need to "do" my hair. For every day, the One Step is perfect. However, I felt like my hair was looking damaged recently, and I attributed it to the age of my styler, so it was time for a new one. My sister loves her Shark styler, and I saw this one on sale and grabbed it. I am very happy with the SmoothStyle Heated Comb + Blow Dryer Bush. It dries my hair well, and my hair looks healthy and shiny. There are a few cons, so I only gave it 4 stars. For these, I am comparing it to the Revlon One Step and not the Dyson Air Wrap: First, it is quite heavy. I have shoulder-length, normal hair, but for longer or thicker hair, you might take issue with the heaviness. About 3/4 of the way through the process, I really want to put it down and give my arms a rest. Second, I don't think it dries as quickly as the Revlon. I attribute this to the fact that the Revlon has 360 vents, while the Shark does not. The sides of the Shark are for the Heated comb portion. Third, the Heated Comb portion keeps the brush from reaching hair sections. It's not a huge issue, and I assume with time I will get used to it. I'm used to a 360 brush always grabbing the hair sections. But, since this only has a brush on 1/2 of the styler, it makes it a bit awkward. Also, the heated comb sections make it awkward to use. I'm a lazy hair dryer, so I like to just get it done, and with this, I have to pay attention to where the brush sections are; otherwise, I'm dragging the comb sections (which have no grip) across my head. All-in-all, I do like this and I'm happy with it. The price is high, but if you find it on sale, it's definitely worth it.

My first impression was great! I loved the color and the nice finish. The protective tip on the brush is super helpful so I don’t burn my fingers. It’s easy to use, heats up fast, and the two modes make styling really quick. The best part is the result: my hair looks smooth, shiny, and honestly like a fresh salon blowout. The heat-resistant bag is a nice bonus. So far, I’m really happy with it!

Good quality brush; looks cool. 15 minutes to dry my hair, but I feel like maybe it doesnt get hot enough. I've always used the Revlon brush - it's loud but hot and easy to use. However good the Revlon one is, I had to replace it several times because the bristles melt off. So this Shark one has 2 operations: one to blow dry wet hair and the other is for dry hair frizz fighting, and hair smoother. The heat level might be perfect for thin hair, but I have thick wavy hair. My hair is short so i will keep the Shark; even though it does seem too heavy.

I have very thick long hair and this thing is the best! My hair has never felt softer and looked smoother since using it. I love the volume that it gives me while also not making my hair frizzy. Since it’s a 2 in one it’s really a good deal and definitely recommended it!
