YES, the older Apple products have 3.5mm audio sockets built-in ... but the newer Apple products ONLY have a single Lightning socket & no dedicated audio socket, in that case you need to purchase a small adapter to go between the earbud's 3.5mm plug and the Apple's Lightning socket.

Q: Is the connection plug straight or angled?

Connection is angled. I would add... outstanding quality sound for the price! Clear static free listening. Easily matches any $50 set of headphones I have ever bought. Can't go wrong with this set of earphones.

They fit well and do block out some noise but not as much as earphones with true noise reduction. Remember, you get what you pay for.
