Faulty low quality
Do not buy this phone. It is falling apart. It just does that for no reason what so ever. We have over 1000 of these phones. They are a nightmare. It is the Cisco ip phone 7962. We always have to wiggle it to make the hand set work. We simply always use speaker phone. Buttons fade away. Then they gave us a sticker that faded and peeled. Sometimes the screen goes blank and we have to wait until it decides to come back on. Very hard to use. Don’t even think about ordering the expansion unit. That will work wonders for a while and then cause the whole phone to cut out. We are constantly rushing these phones to locations where a 7962 stopped working. Also if you take a phone to use at a different location the phone number and caller I’d goes with it. Stay away. I bet the guy who ordered these regrets it.

Came in perfect
Phone is perfect. Clean and works great and came with what appears to be a new handset cable.

Like New, Very Impressed
They also sell phones on Ebay for about $20, but I am still very impressed at the quality of the phone. It is pretty much like new and came in bubble wrap and a cardboard box. The shipping took a bit longer than Amazon shipping, but still satsified with the state of the phone overall

Perfect condition & functioning
I believe it's a function of your Seller - in my case the phone arrived well-packed and in great condition. If it was ever installed somewhere then it didn't get much use. I bought this as a project to try to convert it to standalone SIP usage with my service provider. All of the required firmware is downloadable from Cisco using your Cisco login. The phone configuration file (known as SEP<mac>.cnf.xml) was a learning experience but eventually I found lots of guidance on the web. I admit I've hit a roadblock with the phone failing to complete the SIP registration process. I haven't given up yet and I still have some things to try. Even if I never get it working, it has been an excellent learning experience for not much money. *** Follow-up *** The phone never successfully registered with my SIP service provider - I suspect the cause is the unavoidable use of NAT by my gateway router to connect the internal LAN to the internet. Some posts on web forums indicated that these Cisco IP phones and NAT don't mix, or only mix with considerable difficulty. I ended up getting a Linksys SPA9000 asterisk-based IP PBX (very inexpensive on the used market). Setting up the Linksys to register with my service provider, then setting up the phone to register with the Linksys, did the trick.
