I gently tested this out to see if I’d feel any suction and I definitely did, so while I hope I’ll never need it, it’s something I’m very grateful to have just in case. I keep it already assembled inside a cupboard so I’m not fumbling with it if faced with an emergency where every second counts. I would ideally love to have several of these so I have one wherever I may be eating, like in my work locker or in my car.

I got this Choking Rescue Device for Kids and Adults, Anti Choking Device, Rescue Breather as a back up to using the Heimlich Maneuver. I hope we never have to use it but it is nice to have on hand just in case. We have spent some time seeing how it works and watch a few videos that I found on how to use it. It isn't overly complicated but I would highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the device and also knowing the Heimlich Maneuver.I'd go a step further to learn CPR for all ages to be safe for after you have removed the item someone was choking on just in case or other emergencies that might come up. Even if you aren't confident, having the basic understanding can be very helpful when talking to emergency services on the phone as they walk you through it until help arrives.Overall, I am glad to have this in our safety kit for at home.

Having this device in my home has really given me peace of mind knowing that if something happens I will be able to help to the be of my ability. It's so great that devices like this exist to assist with emergencies. This device is easy to use and very simple to put together. It takes no time at all. It is compact and easy to store.

This airway suction device is made from sturdy materials that feel durable. I love that it comes with several sizes of face masks that fit different ages/sizes of people. The device is easy to assemble, especially when being quick is important. It is very easy to use, but thankfully I've only tried this device for practice and not in a true emergency. I am happy to have this on hand in my home since you never know.

Thankfully i haven't had to use it in an emergency but I did try it myself. You need the right mask for the suction to work properly. It is easy to put the mask on and instructions show with image how to use. It does come with 3 mask 2 adult and 1 child. If you do use in an emergency it is recommended to seek evaluation by a medical professional. This device will give you some peace of mind specially if you have kids. It's a great addition to my first aid kit.

I hope I never have to use this choking rescue device! I tested it as directed, using it on my kitchen counter. I could definitely feel the suction and feel like it would be able to suction something out. My only concern is that it seems counterintuitive to have a choking person lay flat on their back in order to use this device on them. But I don't know how I would get good suction on their face otherwise. I tried using this on a flat surface, as recommended in the instruction pamphlet. It formed a tight seal. Then I decided that, given that my face isn't flat, to try it on myself. It didn't form a decent seal.I'm glad I didn't wait to try this rescue device until I was faced with an actual emergency. This may be the reason the instruction pamphlet instructs the user to learn the Heimlich Maneuver.

The instructions are missing spaces and periods from time to time. So you might be reading and then the next sentence is a run-on with no punctuation. Some words may be difficult to figure out depending on what words they are running together. There is a link to an instructional video but that link doesn't work. I haven't been able to test it in a real situation of danger. It looks ok, but I don't know that I trust the company.
