Informative and helpful.
We have two guinea pigs and this is a great book to help us care for them. It's easy to understand and they are are lots of interesting things about piggies that I didn't even know! I would recommend to new guinea pig owners and experienced ones alike, there is a lot of info including home-cures for ill pigs.

First book I've read which explains how to go about 'showing' your guinea pigs in professional show's.
This book covers quite a multitude of topic's which you would expect of an encyclopedia.You get information on the usual care and housing for guinea pigs as well as the different breeds. What i was more impressed with was about how to 'show' your guinea pig. It details how to do the different types of guinea pigs hair etc in more detail which i would think should be done anyway and not just for show as it's part of guinea pig grooming etc. Because of this there is much more in depth information.I don't intend to take our guinea pigs to any show's but i would love to visit one.Perhaps a few internet contacts at the back would be a good idea?

guinea pigs encyclopedia
This book is great for beginners and experienced breeders. A great read, one of the best books (apart from Peter Gurney books). It would have been a good idea to put in some natural human remedies for health, I and many guinea pig keepers use the Piggy Potions book as it is rewarding to treat the piggies yourself and see them get better.Apart from that a really great book a must have.

Excellent quick reference guide
As a new time guinea pig owner bought from a rescue centre - I previously always owned dogs - I find it useful to have a little book. It covers most aspects of guinea pig husbandry and gives tips and information about the funny little creatures. They are great dog substitutes until I get another one. This book covers diet, housing, illnesses and breeds and is quite comprehensive,
