Soccer Innovation J-Goal, Portable, Regulation Soccer Training Goal with Net

I started coaching soccer after being away from the sport for many years. I had an old "portable" goal that weighed way too much to be lugging it back and forth for practice, especially since I am not that strong. Another coach had this goal and I loved it from first sight. This season I decided to buy one and have found it very helpful. The team loves it because it allows them to see the actual goal size and are better able to practice their shots and goalies their blocks. It is simple to set up, easy to take down, and extremely light.Had some delays in receiving the product but the company kept constant communication about the delays and even offered a full refund if I didn't want to wait. Thankfully, I was in no rush and am glad I bought it.

bought this for my team to use when all the regular goals are being used at the park. very light weight yet sturdy. doesnt work well in windy condition tho.

The worst goal I have ever bought. The net gets tangle and it’s not easy to untangle it. The anchors that hold the goal down are not durable. I would not recommend buying it.

This net is perfect for our high school soccer team practices.It's easy to carry from the equipment shed and the net comes already attached to the poles right out of the bag so our managers can quickly set it up. They do need to pull the side strings pretty tight to keep the top line straight.At full size, it's perfect for the "Back to Back" soccer game we play during practice, using both sides to attack at the same time.And you can adjust the net to different heights - we use it to play both soccer tennis and soccer volleyball - works really well.

So the nets are fairly easy to put up, although it is tough to get them straight-upright without it looking like the poles are going to bend. They do tangle easy with the poles, but other than that, they are compact and a quick setup. However, to support them, you have a rope line stretched to either side, making them a bit of a hazard if you play a game with them and someone wants to run past the goal line on an attack. Stakes on the pole bottoms are easy to put in when ground is soft, but difficult when ground is hard.Zippers on storage bags aren't very durable and one failed quickly, especially for the price. Net is made of good material. I should have went $200 more and got self-standing nets that did not need support cords or spikes to stay upright.

I am editing my previous review based on my new experience with this product. After having a disappointing first experience I balked at trying this product again. However, I really couldn't find a competing product that was this easy to set up and transport. So, after using this for nearly 6 weeks I really like this product. It is still not the most sturdy thing if the winds are high or if the turf soggy and may need to be realigned several times. But, all in all I'm very happy I tried this again and recognize now that the issue I had last time was because of shipping not the product itself. If you are a coach this really is the perfect goal to set up small sided game off of your stationary goal.Old review:I was very excited to get this product after watching the youtube video. However, upon arrival today it was 1) not the size I ordered and 2) broken. The telescoping posts were apparently jammed in so far that one side wouldn't come out and the side that did come out had broken and wouldn't lock into place. It was very cheaply manufactured and poorly handled. The only reason I give this 2 stars rather than 1 is because the idea is still good and if it had been quality it would have been perfect. Based on this experience I'm gun shy to try it again and will return rather than exchange as I don't want to deal with the hassle.

This is my second J-Goal. I love the portability of the goal and its versatility. I can create a field anywhere with these goals. While you don't get true play off the "crossbar," these J-goals make perfect training targets. My first unit is two years old and still going strong. I just purchased the second unit to be able to set up a full field or run two sessions at once. With really soft ground, the poles will rock a little bit with hard corner shots otherwise the poles stand firm and the top line remains taut.

Easy enough for my 13yo soccer start to set up and take down... hopefully the neighbors will see less flying in their yards...
