Good small grill
Small grill/press. It presses sandwiches a little too much but we have been using it more for a grill.

Highly recommended
I’ve already used my Panini maker a dozen times and only wish I had purchased it sooner. It’s perfect for 1~2 people, compact, heats quickly and the price point was great. Easy to clean and I definitely recommend this one in particular.

Extremely lightweight - So far no panini success
There are several things I noticed immediately upon unboxing this panini maker -- which, by the way, is not labeled as one on the box. It is referred to as a "contact grill." (See photo) The unit is very lightweight. The instructions were clearly written in another language and probably translated with an artificial translator. Many sentences make no sense. Now for using it. You need to preheat the unit for about 5 minutes, after which time the green light goes off to let you know it is preheated. However, the unit clearly isn't getting up to temperature or maintaining a temperature. I tried it out by doing both a few panini sandwiches and also grilling a salmon filet and a sliced pork loin. After over five minutes of grilling panini sandwiches, I only get light grill marks at best. (See photo) I’ve also noticed that after the green light turns off, it does not appear to turn back on during cooking. The unit certain cooks both sandwiches and proteins, but the surface contact grill needs to be hotter. I am open to continuing to try this out, but so far, I'm not very impressed. It appears cheaply made. November 2024: The manufacturer sent me a second one of these because the first one was not getting hot enough. I spent three days testing the new one and took photos of the results of the second unit. While it does get slightly hotter, there still appears to be an issue with the BOTTOM grill simply not heating up very much. I allowed it to preheat for at least 3 - 5 minutes and then left the sandwich in the grill for over 5 minutes. The result is a heated sandwich and it does produce "lightly toasted" grill marks but similar to the first unit I tried, it does not get hot enough or maintain an even heat and the bottom grill plate does not get as hot as the top grill plate. If you are unconcerned that your panini doesn't get those deep dark grill marks, you will probably be satisfied enough with this unit. I would be very hesitant to use it to grill meats or poultry on, however.
