As with other routers, the Virgin Media Hub 3 needs to be kept clear of other electronic equipment to allow the best WiFi signal around the house. Of course the Virgin Media port in my house is right behind where the TV is, so the rather short cable that came with the router leaves it very close to the TV, digital box, PS5 and so on… not ideal! It also meant that the router was not in the optimal central place in the house for the WiFi signal to be strong in each room. This has meant that video and even audio MS Teams calls with work colleagues have been prone to failure and drop outs when I’m in a room away from the router. Annoying! This cable (7 metres) has allowed me to move my router to a much more central position in the house in the stairwell, away from electronic equipment. It was a simple task to pull the existing cable out of the port and the router and screw in the new one. The connectors are good quality and fit perfectly. Helpfully the cable is thin enough that I can fit it under a door and it comes with cable clips to attach the cable to skirting board if that is your preference. And as others have found, no loss of broadband speed (I’m running at around 400Mbps which is about average for me) and a massively improved WiFi experience all around the house. I can even have MS Teams calls now without losing connection… which is a bit of a shame as it was a useful excuse for ending some of those boring calls! An excellent product, great value and very much recommended.

Used to move Virgin hub 3 router which lazy engineer left short, in a corner beside tv a number of years ago leading to poor wifi reception in a totally brick wall house. Have been meaning to move for a number of years and finally decided to go ahead and locate to a more central area in the house. Read previous reviews which said it worked for extending Virgin routers and can confirm it works perfectly with absolutely no loss of speed and signal is much improved around the house with areas which didn’t receive wifi now in range. Can definitely recommend, it’s a lot cheaper than a Virgin engineer and what they would charge for this, in excess of £100.

When decorating, I managed to cut the wrong cable that was going round my skirting board.. A D.I Don't...I searched all the usual stores online and couldn't find a replacement, Called Virgin and after a huge wait was told I would have to pay for a call out and for the new wire! Don't do that.. This wire works perfectly and is so easy to fit!! It comes with pins to attach it to the skirting board and a female pin that is attached to one end.. Take that off if you want male - male like I did. Also fits through the letter box when in suppliers original package, so no need to wait in!

The cable feels like better quality than what Virgin media install so thats good. I used the cable to be able to put my router downstairs as a so called router update from virgin was way to loud with the fan at night so having it in my bedroom required me to move the router. Not had any issues months on, Top feeling cable and does what it is intended for.

I used this to move the router and TV box upstairs from downstairs via outside. There was no loss in signal that I could detect. For a 200mb service, I was still peaking ABOVE that over WiFi alone so very impressed. The gold coupler is already attached on one end. That goes in to your current cable that comes out of the wall. The other end goes in to your router/TV box or splitter. 15m is what I bought in black. There is a spare connection in there if you are using this for another purpose. Would buy again.
