Like others said, uncomfortable the first time but once you get used to it it is deeply relaxing, my kids actually fight over it and want to take it to bed (ages 6 and 9) to sleep on. I have to go steal it away after they fall asleep so I can fall asleep on it. Then at some point I toss it out from under me in my sleep. I also used this the other day to fend off a tension headache that I normally get monthly and I didn't have to take excedrine this time! I like the size and that the pillow is not attached. I like that I can place the pillow under my thighs or knees while laying on the mat which in theory can help with cellulite but also relaxing to have that pillow under knees for a cushion. I also liked the simple elastic bands that can keep it all rolled up together. I do that and take it with me to hotels when we travel. I definitely experienced the heat after relaxing into it followed by deep relaxation of the area being used on. I also like using the pillow and positioning the side if my face...it's awkward and uncomfortable at first but helps target a and relieve tension in the jaw and face muscles. The price was great! I've been wanting to try these mats for a while but put it off. When I searched again and found this mat, the price was much better than previous options I had seen before and decided to go for it and am do glad I did. Also I sometimes just like to walk across or stand on it for a second whenever I see it...I don't know why...but between the kids and I we can hardly leave it alone!

It's pretty intense relief, and regular use has seen a serious reduction in my fibromyalgia and sciatica inflamation.

I bought this mat because I have trigger point neck pain and nothing seems to work. When I ordered this my neck had been hurting for days and I was basically digging everything into my neck to massage it. The pointy spikes don't hurt and I'm a pretty sensitive gal so don't be afraid of the spikes. They just feel weird so don't let that stop you from buying this. I've tried it with clothes off and clothes on. I prefer clothes off but you can't always do that:) Anyway, the first day I used it I fell asleep in just a few minutes. I woke up 20 minutes later. I felt good:) I couldn't tell a difference in my neck pain but I continued to use it daily and whenever I thought about it. Every time I have used it, I end up falling asleep which is weird for me as I can NEVER take naps or fall asleep. This is a huge plus and now I lay down on it to take a nap. I slowly noticed my neck pain subsiding and after about 2 weeks, my neck pain was completely gone. This is neck pain I've had on and off for years and usually takes a deep tissue massage to go away. So I got lazy and stopped using it since my pain had gone away and one morning I woke up with pain again. I started using the mat again and it is going away. SO, having said all this, the mat works for me, very well. I'm really happy with it and clearly believe it has been beneficial in helping my neck pain go away. By the way, I lay over the pillow with my neck curved around it and the back top of my head touches the floor. I would like to try this for my plantar fasciitis as I think it would help heal it as well. Also, I had a really bad sinus infection and I just couldn't breath, I used this and it gave me temporary relief of the pressure in my sinuses each time so I know it's making the blood flow and moving things around. I would say it has a lot of great benefits for many ailments. I know it has immediate relaxing benefits because I use it as my nap mat all the time now. Very happy with this product!

honestly, surprised how well this works, especially since it is just based on your own weight creating the sensation... I'm way too tolerant though, and after very few usages I was already almost immune to it.. was able to fall asleep on it... still the was some pain relief, and the sensation was pleasant enough

Excellent value for money. Obviously the quality is not as good as the ones filled with the coconut fibre as this is stuffed with a soft sponge, but the price is cheaper accordingly. Highly recommended.

I returned my mat because it was not as spikey as the previous Sivan mat I ordered. I'm not listing this as a negative, however, because it may well suit some people - lots of people complain that the mats are too painful for them so this could be the perfect mat for them. I'm very light framed so probably need more spikes to make up for a little less gravitational pull
