Halloween Men's Red Velvet Robe Smoking Jacket, Adult Halloween Costumes with Belt Captain Hat

I recently picked up the Halloween Men's Red Velvet Robe Smoking Jacket with the belt and captain hat for a Halloween party, and overall, it worked out pretty well. I'm a big guy—6'6" and 265 lbs—so finding costumes that fit can be a challenge. The robe was long enough, which was a relief, though the sleeves were a bit short for my long arms. That’s something I’ve come to expect. It felt pretty comfortable to wear, not too heavy or hot, which made it ideal for an indoor party. The material is soft velvet, giving it a classic, smooth feel without being too thick.Visually, the red velvet stands out, giving off that classic smoking jacket vibe. The color is rich and vibrant, making it perfect for Halloween or themed events. The belt helps to cinch the waist for a more fitted look, and the captain hat adds a nice touch of whimsy. It’s not the highest quality hat, but it serves its purpose. I’d give it 4 stars, with points deducted for the short sleeves and the somewhat cheap-feeling belt and hat. Still, it’s a solid, fun option for Halloween parties.

Update as of 11/1/2024I wore the costume to work and over the Halloween party, and everyone loved it. However, the robe gets very hot. I was sweaty on both occasions despite the office temp being at 72F and the party event was outside with an ambient temp of 65F. It was a relief to take the rob off, but the costume itself was a hit!==================================================The red velvet robe costume is a perfect Halloween outfit for my office event. The robe itself is larger than I would like, but the cap fits OK and cheap sunglasses are OK quality, but not to be worn as sunglasses. The robe is made from velvet like material, but the size is larger than I expected, so it hangs like large pancho on my body. The cap is made from plastic-ky materials, so it feels cheap but looks good enough as a costume. The sunglasses, obviously, is cheaply made, and it was not comfortable wearing it.

This costume worked perfectly for my Halloween outfit as I was going for a relaxed circus Kane vibe, but as a captain. The red velvet robe was surprisingly comfortable and stood out with its vibrant color and soft texture. The hat and glasses, while clearly costume grade, added a whimsical touch that completed the look.The robe was long enough and lightweight, making it easy to wear throughout the night without overheating. It held up well throughout Halloween, the accessories felt a bit cheap, they did the job for a one day event. I highly recommend this to everyone needing a decent costume.

Great costume and super comfy! Need to Add black pajama pants, a pipe and slippers to make it complete. So maybe a little high priced for just the items that come with this.

This came in pretty quickly and it looks high quality. The robe isn't very thick, so it won't be too hot. The glasses came in a plastic baggy, so as to keep them from getting scratched. The hat came out looking great straight out of the bag. Husband loved it!

This customer is nice and I love that the robe is soft and easy on the skin, it’s also not too thin. The hat is a little on the cheaper side. The glasses aren’t sturdy and they don’t feel comfortable wearing them.

If you are looking for a robe to look like the playboy mansion this one works well. It comes with the robe, the sunglasses and a hat. The robe is a bit different than the picture but still works well. It is not a high end robe so keep in mind it id not the most comfortable piece of garment but still works well.

My husband is 6'2, 220 pounds. This is pretty big on him. It definitely fits more like a robe than a jacket. It's long. You could fit this up to probably an XXL pretty easily.It's a pretty nice velvet. It's got some weight to it and is a real velvet and not just a felt like some cheap costumes. You could wear this as a smoking jacket and it would probably work for that purpose.The hat and glasses, especially, are definitely costume quality. They are fine for a few pictures. But you're not going to wear these as sunglasses in the summer.
