This pot has improved my days in the kitchen; it's definitely been one of my best purchases. The Instant Pot is a game changer! It cooks everything faster, healthier, and with amazing flavor. I love how easy it is to use and clean, and it replaces several appliances in my kitchen. Perfect for busy days — truly a must-have!

This pot changed my life. I am an Instant Pot girly now. This is a BIG POT. If you have a small kitchen this 8qt is NOT for you. Get a smaller Instant Pot. And arguably this is too big for my family of 3, the 6 qt would have worked fine. This pot is for Instant Pot enthusiasts and not for casual cooks. BUT the air fryer on the other hand, which I use once a week or so, the 8qt is the right size because the food needs more space in order to cook. The chicken wings are magic. After I got this Duo Crisp, my parents got a sturdy toaster oven/air fryer combo that lives on their countertop. It’s wayyyy less hastle than the Dup Crisp for the air fryer function, but the wings aren’t as good. So know that you are taking on an appliance on the level of a bulky toaster oven.

When our contractor abandoned our kitchen remodel during COVID, I bought this Instant Pot out of pure survival instinct. No stove. No oven. Just me, my demolished kitchen, and this multi-cooker that promised to do everything except file my taxes. And honestly, it delivered. With 10 different modes - pressure, sauté, sous vide, slow cook, steam, air fry, roast, broil, bake, dehydrate - there isn’t a recipe I didn’t try to force into this thing. When the rest of my kitchen looked like a construction zone, this little guy kept me sane. Fast forward 5 years. Our remodel is long finished. I finally have my beautiful chef’s stove… and I still cook almost everything in the Instant Pot. If you’ve ever needed an appliance that can get you through a kitchen renovation, a pandemic, or just a day when you don’t want to scrub your stove top, this is it.

Purchased this to replace my 8 quart Emeril Lagasse that quit heating up after about 3 years. I used it probably 3 times a week or more. Love electric pressure cookers! So quick and easy to prepare a meal. I am hoping this will last a good long time. I don't use the air fryer on it very often, but wanted to have that option.

So... the story of this purchase is that I needed to replace my air fryer (for some reason, my air fryers don't last longer than 2 years until something in that plastic housing cracks), and I was tempted by the advertised versatility and the obviously sturdy construction of this one. I have a small kitchen, and the idea of an "all-in-one" machine was tempting. The thing I certainly regret: not waiting until it got on sale (both for Amazon Prime Day and for Black Friday) I've had the Instant Pot Duo Crisp for over a month now, and in this month I have tried a lot of its functionality. It is certainly a good pressure cooker. It is excellent for making stews, beans, stocks. I am not a huge fan of pressure cookers, but I am still trying to learn how to use it. I like the larger size, as I cook for larger crowds on a regular basis, and I do like the "set it and forget it" nature of the instant pot if I am preparing larger meals. The air fryer option was the reason I decided to go for it. Now, there is a problem - the separate air fryer lid needs to be kept somewhere, and that, in my kitchen, is a problem. As an air fryer, it is not bad, but it is a smaller one and size is a huge thing for air fryers, so that the air can circulate correctly. It does fit under the cabinets with the lid on, but it gets to be a pain if you need to open it to turn the food. Plus, no option to just shake it as I used to do with the dedicated air fryer. All-in-all, it works, but not in love with it. The sous vide option was part of the reason I bought it. I have a Sansaire and Anova immersion sticks, but the fact that you have the lid on is a huge plus for longer cooking. The downside though, temperature control leaves a lot to be desired - it can easily be a couple of degrees off when checked with a thermometer, and sous vide is all about precise temperature. Also, the pot is again on the smaller side for sous vide, but it would have been just great for say a couple of steaks. That being said, it was pretty convenient for veggies, where I am way less sensitive on having a precise temperature. I used the sous vide setting to make yogurt - that came out really nicely, and you can line the air fryer contraption with cheesecloth to strain the yogurt afterward, which was pretty convenient. The slow cooker option is not bad, but the pot is on the smaller side for that too. An oval slow cooker is way more convenient. The saute function works as expected. And I still have to play with more functions. What I was disappointed with was the manual, which does not cover all the functions; and I would have appreciated a recipe book that would offer a few examples for each of the functions available. Yes, it is possible to find plenty of recipes on the web, but it would have been useful to me to have maybe just one example recipe that demonstrated how to use steam, or what the difference between "roast" and ''bake" is. All in all, I am probably happy I bought it, even though I am not in love with it. It is pretty decent for a lot of things that I want, but it doesn't seem to excel in any of them. However, I would still consider myself to be on the learning curve for it :)

This thing is fantastic! My Ninja died after many years. I did really like it. This was a lower cost but I was uncertain. Boy! Do I love this! The removeable separate air fryer top is great as opposed to the one piece Ninja. The stainless steel pot is way, way better than the ceramic Ninja. This makes perfect rice and perfect everything! The air fryer is great too. I am so glad I bought this..I use several times a week. Definately recommend!

I use my pot all the time. I make curries, stews, bone broth etc. I’ve even pressure cooked a whole frozen chicken in 25-30 mins then finished it off to crispy perfection in the air fryer. I’ve had mine for 2 years, use it at least twice a week and it’s still working perfectly.

3 years later and its still going strong. The top needs a new gasket so for pressure cooking it can be temperamental. Besides that still awesome at everything it does.
