Good, inexpensive, capably powered
Good saw with plenty of power, especially when paired with a good blade. I've been able to get nice, accurate cuts and easily build a couple of things in the few short weeks I've owned this. Right out of the box everything was in true and I've not had to make any adjustments to the alignment. Additionally, I like the size and weight. I wavered between this and the Dewalt model (twice as much), but the Dewalt is appreciably bigger while this saw fits fairly well on a shelf in my garage. No issues with the sturdiness. It doesn't move or wobble when I use it but I can still lug it from one side of the garage to the other without throwing my back out. There are obviously bigger, better table saws out there, but for less than $350, this is a steal and fits the bill for 95% of the projects I'll need to do. You will probably want to upgrade the miter gauge asap to something better. The included miter gauge is just awful. The fence isn't all that much better, but isn't nearly as bad as the miter gauge.

Hands down the best table saw being sold today for the serious DIY'er
I have a DeWalt table saw that I purchased about 10 years ago that I absolutely love. It has a rack and pinion fence, built in fence ruler, lots of on board storage and just works great. I love using this saw. The only issue with it is that it wasn't cheap so when I needed another saw for our cottage out of state I was reluctant to spring for a second one. I started looking at all the low end saws and found this Skil saw. It was a little more (about $70) than the bare bones table saws but it to had all the features of my DeWalt that makes it such a pleasure to use. The rack and pinion fence alone makes it worth the additional money. No need to pull out your tape measure to measure the distance from the blade to the fence for each cut and to verify that the fence is perfectly parallel to the blade. Simply turn the knob to the desired cut distance using the built in ruler. lock the handle down and you are ready to go. The rack and pinion fence guarantees you'll get a square cut each and every time you change it. In addition to this all the various components of the saw store on board in their respective slots. The saw is equipped with a powerful 15 amp motor so stalling the blade is never a concern and the dust collection/port works great with a vacuum cleaner. Skil took the time to bake in all the positives of the DeWalt saws only they managed to keep the price low. Overall I'd rate this as the best value for your money saw on the market today.

Great powerful lightweight saw at a great price
An extremely effective, portable table saw at a great price! Power is fantastic, couldn’t ask for more. I would say the saw is relatively cheaply made- but very well engineered and effective in a way that doesn’t negatively affect it. I’ll update the review if I run into problems. But so far, it’s super powerful, lightweight, takes up very little space in my garage all folded up with its awesome integrated legs. The fence works great. The gears that move it up and down are a little crunchy as others have mentioned but as long as it doesn’t give me issues I’ll look past that. I got this on sale for $280 and I think that I couldn’t ask for more value at that price point.

Portable table saw with stand
Opening the box of the SKIL 10-inch table saw was a breeze, and within minutes, I had it set up and ready to go. One thing I really appreciated was the folding stand, making it easy to move around and store when not in use. The saw itself worked great for my DIY projects around the house, from cutting plywood to crafting wooden shelves. The included accessories were a nice touch and added to the overall value. However, the dust collection system could be better; I found myself cleaning up more sawdust than I would have liked after each use. Nonetheless, it's a handy tool for any homeowner or hobbyist. Oh, I had "Don't Stop Believin'" stuck in my head while using it last weekend!

Great for home projects
This is a 5 star saw if you are using it for home projects. It probably would not stand up to regular daily use on a construction site but other reviewers may have experience using it in a construction environment and might disagree. Having said that, it is plenty powerful and accurate for most home projects. I used it to rip long thick Mahogany boards and it did so with ease. As with any power tool don't force feed it and it will cut hardwoods very well. I am impressed with the clever design. All of the accessories, rip fence, miter gauge etc. store on the saw and the whole thing folds to a very easy to store size. The saw was adjusted very well at the factory but I checked all the adjustments per the manual and did some fine tuning. The adjustments are easy to do and I found the cuts to be clean, smooth and accurate. There is a lot of plastic used in this saw but that is how they keep the price way under all the other major brand manufacturers. How these parts hold up over time is yet to be seen but it comes with a 3 year warranty. I had a 50 year old table Craftsman table saw I inherited from my dad but after restoring it and using it a few times there was no place to store it - it was big and built like a tank. This saw suits my current needs and since it will not be used on a regular basis I hope it will last for a number of years. I recommend this for a DIY and home use but I defer to other reviewers for any job site type of use. For heavy use you might want to compare the Makita or Dewalt saws. I like the convenience, power, accuracy and thoughtful design of the Skill table saw. One final note: several reviewers have mentioned that the throat plate is made of plastic, mine is cast aluminum and is adjustable which may be a change since the earlier production runs. I purchased in October 2025.

Easily The Best Value
Talking in consideration features, precision, adjustment capabilities it is most likely the best value on the market for DIY. It's not perfect but for what it provides for the money it is exceptional. Even the supplied blade is decent. Rip fence has some flaws, power cord could be longer. But those are minor flaws that can be easily addressed. Highly recommended table saw for DIY.

Incredible saw for the money!
The box was damaged pretty good on one side but there was no damage to the product thanks to Skill's styrofoam packaging. For the money, this is a pretty incredible saw. The fence is precise and only slight adjustment was necessary to put it square to the blade. I was looking at the Dewalt 10" but it was double the price. For the DIY or light commercial business this saw is very capable.
