Q: is the ascorbic the L-ascorbic acid form?

Just states Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) on ingredients.

Q: If this contains maize starch, is it gmo maize?? aka "modified maize starch" ?

I can't see any mention of starch being listed in the ingredients. It just says "free from artificial flavours, colours & preservatives, lactose, yeast & gluten".

Q: Is it time-release, or is the excess vitamin C excreted within minutes of ingestion?

No it's not. I previously had the timed-release ones, which were okay, but these 'Low Acid' ones are not timed-release, and have caused me quite extreme stomach upset, to the point where I will no longer take them.

Q: If you have a cold can you take 2 tablets a day to boost?

Yes you can. Suggest 2 first thing then one more lunchtime. Do no longer than a week. You should not get an upset tum, I never do. Don't take on empty stomach.
