Pearl Barley
Love Pearl Barley, reminds me of my Nans stews she used to make! Shame they take so long to cook though! Apart from that, lovely!

Versatile
Pearl barley! Somehow this simple grain makes an average soup, stew or casserole into a hearty winter meal. I’ve been cooking barley my whole life as I love how it makes a perfect addition to so many meals that would otherwise be quite plain. I sometimes keep a small bowl of it in the fridge and just add a few spoons to preprepared soups both canned and fresh from the chiller.
