Excellent prompt service
I read this book at the library and was very impressed by the health benefit information it contained that I decided to buy my own copy for reference. I am revisiting EPP after 40 years and am enjoying the repetitive (mindful) sewing. Research that Flossie covers extensively in the book.

An excellent book on a fascinating skill!
This book is really good. I was more impressed than I expected to be, despite reading the blogs Flossie Teacakes writes. It is a well written book and covers a wide range of aspects of EPP in chapter 1. To read the findings of research endorsing using one’s hands vindicated my love of sewing in this manner! I was truly delighted. Not only does it explore a range of topics but gives real examples and even suggestions for patterns for future projects. My passion for this aspect of sewing was given a huge boost and I just wish there was more time. The joy of EPP being so portable was not lost on me as I love to take something to do with my hands on train journeys. I loved the handy hints popped into small boxes for one to read whenever. I will be looping my thread on needles from now on. Thank you for that tip.My only bug bear was the American spellings throughout the book. A personal view I realise but still ironic when the subject is about English paper piecing.

Beautifully ilustrated EPP Book
This book is a brilliant one to have as a reference and starting point for EPP. It has clear and precise pictures and instructions so if you are new to this you should pick up process very easily. I have been a stitcher most of my adult life and have now returned to EPP and boy I'm enjoying it, with the help of this book. I would recommend this for any one who wants to learn and progress with EPP. But be warned it is an addictive hobby. So enjoy.

Lots of information
Lovely book with plenty of interesting history of EPP & lots of useful information & tipsJust one small complaint I would have liked the templates for the projects to be printed in the book rather than have to spend ages trying to find them online &then print them 😕

Great book for both beginners and those with more knowledgeable experience!
As someone who is already fairly proficient in sewing, I bought this book as a more in depth look at paper piecing. It didn't disappoint! It has loads of handy tips for people who can already paper piece, as well as giving recommendations for different tools and threads to use. What I really enjoyed, and which I wasn't expecting, was the in depth look at paper piecing from a historical point of view, and a look at different was it was and artists use too.I love the fact the book doesn't have the usual 'fluff' projects you get in so many books.Definitely one I would highly recommend!

How to access the templates?
Really nice informative book but be careful before buying. The reference on page 116 to a weblink to download the templates to make the quilts featured needs updating. The link does not work and my email to the publisher has been returned undelivered. They are available to purchase from another website but I don’t see why I should pay extra when the book mentions free downloads.

Far exceeded my already high expectations
I enjoyed this book so much!!I've read Florence's blog for several years, so of course, I wanted her book, but I think that even if you've never heard of Flossie Teacakes - if you are a seamstress of any type, and especially if you enjoy handwork (at all) - you will like this book. If you are a big EPP fan, you will LOVE it!!If I had to describe (my perception of) Florence in one word, it would be *particular*. In a world where 'finished is better than perfect', and 'if you can't see it from a galloping horse....' I am drawn to Florence's passion for, and pursuit of excellence, and that passion is evident in Flossie Teacakes Guide to English Paper Piecing. The first chapter alone is worth the price of the book, in my frugal opinion (and the price has dropped a few dollars from the pre-order price that I paid, making it an even better bargain!) Much of it resonated with me and I found myself wanting to share *so many passages* with my sewing friends. I walked around for the two days that I spent in chapter one feeling validated, inspired, challenged, and just very *happy*.Florence is a master at using fabric to its full advantage and she shares some excellent tips to help the reader become proficient with EPP and fussy cutting too, and even suggests a few designers to start with, if you are new to intentionally turning fabric into swiss cheese. While I do occasionally enjoy EPP (English Paper Piecing) and think her patterns and projects are beautiful, if I'm entirely honest, it's unlikely that I will use any of them (at least in the near future) simply because that's not where my heart is right now with my sewing and quilting, BUT - I *was* inspired to join a summer quilt along that combines some simpler EPP with traditional piecing. It's worth noting that when I learned of the sew along a few weeks ago, I wasn't at all interested in joining. The book is lovely to look at, extremely well written (on quality (though not *fine*) paper) and sprinkled with photos of beautiful works of art. It was a joy to read, and as much as I want to share it with friends, I'll think twice before loaning it out, because it's one I definitely want to keep and thumb through again and again.

Normalito
Está bien. Pero no es lo que esperaba. Pues le daban mucha puntuación y me esperaba que tuviese menos historia y más indicaciones a la hora de realizar quilts con esta técnica. It's okay. But it is not what I expected. Well, people gave its a lot of punctuation and I expected its to have less history and more instructions when making quilts with this technique.

Interesting!
Learning so much history about English paper piecing was really good, and the author has explained all aspects of this particular piecing method so very well. A great book to read a d re-read!

Better than Expected
This a great book for beginners and experienced EPP quilters. For the price, it packed with beginners instructions as well as some ideas of possible projects and techniques. It even has a wonderful section on Fussy-Cut Precision Patchwork. The book arrived very quickly:-).
