This caramel is delightfully tasty, and as you chew, a sweet apple flavor emerges. The caramel has a perfect consistency—neither too hard nor too soft. It's definitely a great value for the price, and the packaging is easy to open. Be warned: it's quite addictive; everyone will surely enjoy these. They're incredibly fresh.

Good caramel, not much apple though

I bought these for Halloween candy. We didn't have a many trick or treaters as prior years, but I'm not upset, we had some left over! These are individually wrapped and taste great. Of course I did start pushing these toward the bottom of the bowl, while snacking on them, hoping we would have extras, lol.

I originally ordered Werthers Carmel Apple Soft Carmels as I had tasted them at a party and they were delicious, just like a green apple fipped in Carmel. Luckily I read the ingredients before the order went through because I realized there was a gluten component and I have to eat gluten free. So I saw these and the reviews seemed pretty good and they are gluten free, so while I doubted they would be as good as Werthers, I quietly sent up a little prayer of thanks that I had only eaten one piece of the Werthers candy and would satisfy my taste with these. Nope! These taste NOTHING like a carmel apple, in fact no discernible taste beyond just sugar at all, at least not when you’ve been spoiled by the almost inventors of carmels. Go ahead and treat yourself to the real deal.
