Wish I could give a 10 star review! This little radio is so powerful and the sound is better than my larger portable radio! It's so great all the time but especially in power outage. It recharges like your phone. No batteries!! It's just awesome! For it's size it's amazing!!

Picked this up to use at the drive in movie theatre to save my car battery. Out of the box, it seemed great. It feels well made, charged up quickly and is easy to use. Then we tried to actually use it... It found the signal quickly and the sound quality was good. And it can get very loud for a little radio. Unfortunately, it had trouble keeping the signal for longer than a few minutes at a time. After fiddling with the antenna for a bit, I gave up as it didn't seem to be helping.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this radio to anyone.This has the most incredibly incomprehensible instruction manual that I have ever had the misfortune to try to understand. It did explain to me in the manual (page 3) to let the radio search for local stations and I did that and it set up 20+ stations in memory. However, there is no volume on any of those channels no matter what direction I tilt the antenna to.The readout is so dim that unless you're in a dark room it's very difficult to see. When the unit is on there is a red/white spinning thing next to the display yet there is NO explanation of what that is.The radio itself is attractive but this is a prime example of a company trying to produce a product with a wealth of features yet can't even get the basics correct.Spend your money if you like and if you have Prime you probably have a 30 day return window, but I recommend against buying this at all.

I do wish the antenna was a little longer as my signal in my area is not very good. Overall I really like this little radio. It looks nice and I like the dedicated on off physical switch as opposed to a button that you have to long press to turn it on and off like on one of my other radios.This looks sharper than another radio I have that's almost identical in size. The wood grain look is a really nice touch.The speaker sound is not bad at all. This is a small radio so don't expect miracles with the sound. I mostly use this in the bathroom when I take a shower and the speaker gets plenty loud.I like the wheel for the volume. It's a physical wheel so it's easy to adjust volume up and down quickly.

Mine had no instructions which I didn’t think was a big deal but I never did figure it out and I only got the alarm to work.
