It's nice and bulky but it is so dull that it wouldn't cut butter. The company's name is not even printed on it. It just says h s s. I will see if it will take an edge at all. I'm unimpressed for the price. I guess you get what you pay for cause it's not a great value. Disappointed.

Product is as described insofar as size & weight. I did appreciate the hard plastic shipping case with rubber insulators on the ends to prevent damage. It was not really tool sharp out of the case, and seemed to dull quickly. Will try a different grit to see if it can withstand what I'd consider 'normal' use.

NOT VERY SHARP

I didn't pay enough attention to the dimensions in the listing. So it was quite a surprise when this chisel showed up — its the size of of a ceremonial mace! I think I'm going to need a bigger lathe 🤣Despite being larger the rest of my entire lathe setup [in the picture I'm NOT holding the chisel up close to the camera; it's laying there on/across the lathe] it still works well. Though since it's such overkill I'm probably not able to test it as thoroughly. The build quality is good and feels really sturdy just in general so I think it would hold up fine at its intended scale too.

This is one big, solid, well made tool. Im not using it for a lathe but to chisel wood. It did not come very sharp, which Im not familiar with lathes and idk if the are degrees of tips, but I put a little edge and been chiseling away since with ease.
