I wasn't expecting to be wowed by a $30 vest based on the photos of it on buyers who left reviews. And to be honest the reviews were all over the map. People saying it didn't fit them without giving any details about their own physique. "It was too tight or too small". Well how fat or tall are you? I'll try to not leave the same sort of useless review. I'm 6'0" tall and 200 lbs. My chest is 44" and my waist is 33". I'm fit and muscular with low body fat and a V shaped upper body. In a dress shirt I usually wear a 16.5 neck and 34/35 sleeve in a slim fit design. If you're not built like me, adjust your size expectations accordingly. I bought a size Large based on the size chart. It fits me perfectly. There's a taper from the shoulders and chest that makes it close fitting but not tight or restrictive at all with a dress shirt and undershirt. It's not loose and baggy either. it comes pretty close to a tailored look for me. I bought the Navy color and it's pretty much a true dark navy blue. I have no issues with the color. As for the fabric, I really wish the Chinese sellers on Amazon were more forthcoming about the fabrics they use. The product listing says "Cotton Blend". Blended with what? I figured the tag inside the vest would give me that information. Nope. There is no tag. I thought that disclosure was US law. I've got nothing against synthetic fabrics at all. They can be a great choice and more functional than natural fibers in a lot of cases. Come on guys, just tell us what we're buying. What I was worried about in this case was a shiny polyester or rayon look. Not to worry. I'm guessing this is a pretty common 65% cotton / 35% polyester blend on the front fabric. It's not shiny at all. It has a sharp, clean look. The tailoring is top notch from the buttonholes to the buttons to the pockets to the cut and taper. The inside is lined with a polyester or rayon. And the back uses that same shiny smooth synthetic fabric which is typical for a dress vest. There is also a buckle in back to adjust the fit around mid torso which is also expected in a vest. it works fine. So am I wowed? Yeah! The fabric, the styling, the cut and fit, and the color are all excellent and better than I expected in a $30 vest. I have no gripes. Whatever the fabric is, it looks totally at home under blazer or sport coat. Highly recommended. Update 8/1/2025: Last night I wore the Navy Blue vest out to a wine bar. I got compliments from 2 women and a guy. Guess it passes the looks test. Also, as soon as I got the Navy Blue vest I ordered another one in Forest Green. It's a dark green just like the product listing shows it. Very understated. Not bright or loud at all. Should go well with a dark brown herringbone tweed sport coat or a dark brown microfiber suede sport coat I own.
