The kids have loved this little robot. My ten year old was able to put it together on their own and has had a great time playing with it. It seems of good quality too and has lasted several months.

This thing is so cool but takes FOREVER to put together. Not easy but a great challenge for learning minds. We did the scorpion version first and the legs do fall off if you try to go over any small bump. All that said my 7 year old is thrilled.

My son is thrilled with this toy. We had a great time assembling it together—there’s a bit of complexity involved, but the included manual is detailed enough to guide you through each step. The robot performs the expected movements, and the remote control is both practical and intuitive to use. Some parts could fit a bit more snugly—when handling the robot by hand, a few pieces come off easily. That’s the only downside. Overall, it’s a great toy for the price—much more affordable than similar LEGO kits, and still very fun and educational.

I wanted a robotics kit that my 6 year old son could build by himself for Christmas. He went to a Lego robotics camp this past summer where he built a pretty simple moving Lego robot and really enjoyed it. I looked on Amazon for a long time for something that was age 6+ and also looked like a cool robot he would want but most robotics kits that fit the “look” he would want were age 8+. When I came across this one and saw the box said 6+, I thought, well maybe they somehow made it more simple. No, it was not. The way the age recommendation is written on the box, it is implied that a six-year-old or older could build it by themselves, but it should clarify that it’s safe for a six-year-old to play with after someone OLDER has built it. There’s no way my son could’ve built this by himself, he was able to help my husband build it together, but this should have been specified on the box as a 6+ child WITH adult. Also, my husband had an idea of how to make building this more enjoyable and I think the manufacturer should adopt this idea. Since there are four different variations of robots you can build, I understand it’s complicated in how to effectively organize the pieces, but if they simply numbered each of the small bags and included the bag number in which you could find this specific piece for this step of this variation in the instructions, it would’ve made the building experience so much simpler and more enjoyable. They only labeled the two largest bags for building the primary robot on the box, but my son wanted the scorpion variation and this was much harder as we had to search for all the little pieces across all the little bags and there are a LOT of little pieces and bags. Overall, actually a pretty cool toy, good quality pieces, but be warned it is definitely for building with an adult or for an older kid like 8+ (like all the other robotics kits boxes that I saw). Docking one star for the “false” advertising on age appropriateness.

We have had so many disappointing scenarios with a build that either doesn't work, has pieces missing, feels cheap... BUT this has absolutely delivered this Christmas. My very nearly 12yr old has done nothing else but create with this... Even getting him to eat has been an effort as he's just loved it. He's already built 2 of the options & taken them apart to try the 3rd. Absolute recommend! It's been wonderful to see him so stimulated and interested, keen to learn when he's got it wrong & grow in confidence 💥
