A Reliable Tank for Serious Gaming!!!
ASUS TUF Gaming FX707VI Review – A Reliable Tank for Serious Gaming Alright, let’s get straight to it. I’ve been gaming on the ASUS TUF FX707VI for a couple of weeks now, and if you’re looking for a no-nonsense 17-inch laptop that can handle modern titles without breaking a sweat, this thing delivers. It’s got an Intel i7-13620H and an RTX 4070 under the hood—solid specs for both competitive and immersive gaming. 🎮 Gaming Performance – This Thing Slaps Performance-wise? It's a beast. I tested Cyberpunk 2077, Warzone, Hogwarts Legacy, and Elden Ring—all ran great. At 1080p ultra settings, you’re easily clearing 100+ FPS in most shooters. Even at 1440p, the RTX 4070 holds strong. It’s one of those GPUs that just gives you headroom. If you’re coming from a 30-series laptop or anything older, the jump is noticeable. You can crank it into Turbo mode to squeeze every drop of power, but heads up: the fans will let you know they’re working. I usually run it in Performance mode—still buttery smooth, and a bit more manageable noise-wise. 🖥️ Display – Big, Sharp, Fast Enough The screen is 17.3 inches, 1440p, and 144Hz. Not the absolute fastest refresh out there, but plenty for competitive gaming unless you're a CS2 pro chasing 300 FPS. Colors are solid, and the size really helps if you’re used to a desktop setup. It feels immersive, especially in single-player games. Once you go 17 inches, it’s hard to go back. 🌡️ Thermals – Loud but Under Control Thermals are actually decent for a laptop this size with this much power. Under load, the fans get loud—no surprise there—but temps stay in check. It doesn’t throttle, and the WASD area stays cool enough that it won’t fry your fingers mid-match. Definitely recommend using a headset during heavier sessions, though. 🧱 Build Quality – True to the “TUF” Name It’s not flashy, but it’s sturdy. No cheap plastic flex, no gimmicky RGB overload. Just a clean, functional design with a tough feel. The keyboard is surprisingly comfortable too—good spacing, nice key travel, and responsive enough for fast-paced games. 🔋 Battery – You Know the Drill It’s a gaming laptop. Expect 6–8 hours if you’re just browsing or watching stuff, but once you’re in-game, keep the charger plugged in. No surprise there. 🧾 Final Thoughts – A Great Buy for Gamers Who Want Power Without Drama If you want a laptop that just gets the job done—runs all the latest games smoothly, doesn’t thermal throttle, has a big, nice-looking screen, and won’t crap out on you—the TUF FX707VI is a strong choice. It’s not trying to be flashy. It’s trying to be reliable. And in that, it succeeds. TL;DR for fellow gamers: RTX 4070 + i7-13620H = smooth 1440p/1080p gaming 144Hz 1440p display is crisp, big, and immersive Fans get loud in Turbo, but performance stays consistent Sturdy AF, no flex, no drama Great bang for the buck if you want power over aesthetics

Good quality for money, works well with modern games
The configuration with RTX 4070 is a perfect balance of quality and price. When slightly cheaper laptops have significantly slower performance, and vise versa - just slightly more powerful laptops cost hundreds more. Bought it during Black Friday deal with good discount. Games released in 2024-2025 run excellent on this laptop, with graphics settings on high or ultra high. Only recommend buying extra cooler as the laptop turns super hot, but no other complaints.

Good gaming laptop
Used it for about a year as an alternative to desktop. It works well with good performance that can handle most of the games I have (with mid to high quality on 4k). Noise level is quite high while running, but overall it's good enough. The only thing is you need to keep the charger on while running the game, as the performance will drop significantly while using the battery.

Gets hot but I really like it
The ASUS TUF Gaming FX507ZC4 15.6" Full HD 144Hz Gaming Laptop is a solid choice for gamers looking for performance and reliability. The combination of an Intel i5-12500H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card delivers smooth gameplay and fast rendering speeds, ensuring an enjoyable gaming experience. The 15.6" Full HD display with a 144Hz refresh rate provides crisp visuals and smooth motion, enhancing gaming immersion. Additionally, the 512GB PCIe SSD offers ample storage space for games and other media files, allowing for quick load times and smooth system performance. One downside is the 8GB RAM, which may feel somewhat limiting for multitasking or running memory-intensive applications. However, this can be upgraded if needed to accommodate more demanding tasks. Overall, the ASUS TUF Gaming FX507ZC4 offers great value for its price point, providing reliable performance and impressive gaming capabilities. It's a solid choice for gamers on a budget who still want a powerful gaming laptop.

More versatile than it looks.
I was very positively surprised by this "gaming" laptop. Thanks to its powerful HX 370 processor which has a very good iGPU, I actually keep its 4070 discrete GPU disabled most of the time. It is completely silent and has a good battery life. The first thing I did was to immediately format the PC and reinstall with a fresh win11 USB. Despite having disabled armoury crate in the BIOS beforehand it still installed some Asus services, which I disabled. No software bloatware though after the reinstall though. Be aware that the driver for the wifi chip on this model is not included in the win11 install USB media. You need to download it from Asus and put it on the drive or use Ethernet. I then installed g-helper. It is immensely useful. I set the CPU mode to silent, and GPU to ECO which disables the discrete GPU. The PC is silent most of the time and I expect around 9 hours of battery life in normal usage. There is plenty of power in reserve if needed for more complex tasks. The screen is good. I keep it at 60hz to maximise battery life. As with the rest of the system, its ability to do 165Hz can be useful when needed. I did not install any Asus software, but I did install the AMD tools. With it one can allocate RAM to the iGPU. I set it at 8GB leaving the rest of the system at 24GB. I wish it was completely seamless. It is great that it has a second port for NVMe drives, which I am planning to use. Some issues: * BIOS update seems to not work with bitlocker encryption. As Bitlocker encryption is desirable and enabled by default, I am surprised Asus did or could not design its BIOS updates with this in mind. * It is a bit heavier than I would have preferred but I am happy with this purchase. * Would have been a nice gesture to include a 100W USB4 charger with such an expensive PC. There is a large 200W power brick with its special port, which would be needed for intense use. For daily use and travel a USB-C charger would be a good purchase.
