The color is not as bright as fresh pandan but it still works. I've also noticed that the more you let it sit the more color comes out. I was expecting a bright bright green but its more of a natural color.

My husband discovered this leaf, used primarily in Vietnam, on a trip and tour of the country. He makes tea and also adds a few sprigs to the rice cooker. It has health benefits and is a pleasant flavor. It’s a bit expensive to order, but grows all over Vietnam.

If you have tasted food made with pandan leaves, you cannot call this product "pandan." Growing up in south-east Asia where pandan leaves are put into all kinds of home-cooked food - rice, curries, desserts, anything you like - I bought this product full of hopes to find some substitute for the flavor I miss so much. Fresh pandan leaves are almost impossible to find in all the places that I have lived in the US, east coast through mid-west through west coast. This so-called "pandan" powder has the green color of pandan. That's the best it can do as far as faking a pandan goes. There is no fragrance of pandan, no taste of pandan, nothing of pandan. What a sorry impostor!!

Color was not very strong. Put in several teaspoons and still turned out a light mint green. I did not want to add too much and potentially change the texture of my icing. There was no strong aftertaste so that was a good aspect of it. Will probably find blue and yellow colors in future and mix them to see if that works better.

This is a great product but did not dye my sweet cream melts as vibrant of a green as i needed. This has a really nice smell and flavor to it. If i needed this again I would by. Overall love this company and use a ton of their powders for gluten free and dye free sweet cream melts.

I have been looking for a good pandan powder for about 4 years. I used this in a cake, and it was perfect. The flavor was what I remembered from where I discovered it in China. The couple we had for dinner when I served it took half home. Next up, pandan ice cream.

There was almost no change in color in what I was trying to dye, it changed the flavor of the food because of the amount that I had to use to get just a small green tint. I would honestly not get this again. It mixed in fine and there were not any lumps, but the amount for all most no tint was not worth it.
