Very effective and fast dry up
Extremely good cleaner, super easy to apply, with simple wipe down clean all carbon build up and existing lubes, dry up super fast for subsequent lubrication. Just note that this is not strong enough to remove copper build up, I use either hoppes 9 or MK50 for that.

Lives up to claims - but better/cheaper options for me
I have been using Hoppes Elite Gun Cleaner (EGC) for quite a long time and have been very happy with it. With that said, here is some background on why I bought MC25:The main gripe I have with Hoppes EGC is the "film" that Hoppes leaves on the grips of my guns, which I then have to remove with a separate cleaner. Hoppes EGC (and the M-Pro 7 variant of it) have a conditioner in them that conditions metal and imparts a resistance to fouling; this is the film I believe is being left behind on my grip surfaces.MC25 does not leave anything behind, only bare metal. This is good in the sense that it will allow your lubricant/grease to properly bind itself to the surface, and it won't leave a residue on your grip surfaces. MIL-COMM also recommended it's use (citing this reason) with TW-25B which I am trying out as well as an alternative to oil for concealed carry. Whenever I evaluate a new product, I use it how the manufacturer recommends first, in order to give it a fair test.So those are the reasons why I bought MC25. How does it perform? It does exactly what it's supposed to: strips the metal of carbon fouling, dirt, grease, and oil. I cannot honestly say that it performs this job better than Hoppes EGC, I feel they are roughly equivalent in these regards. It does NOT contain solvents and does NOT work as well on copper fouling as Hoppes EGC or especially M-Pro 7 LPX (read my review here Hoppe's M-Pro 7 LPX Gun Oil, 4 Ounce Bottle), and I was able to remove significant amounts of copper fouling with both products after properly using MC25. The manufacturer clearly states the lack of solvents on their web site, so do not expect this to remove copper from your firearm. This is a 5-star product because it does EXACTLY what the manufacturer claims. However, I will not be purchasing it again for the following reasons:1) The product is expensive. I can get 32 ounces of M-Pro 7 cleaner or Hoppes EGC for only a couple/few dollars (or ~10%) more than 16 ounces of MC25. For the money, Hoppes EGC also contains a solvent that removes copper fouling.2) I cannot tell a noticeable difference in compatibility with TW-25B or general cleaning effectiveness of MC25 vs the cheaper Hoppes EGC.In the end, this is a great product. Hoppes EGC is just a better fit for me and is cheaper.

Good For Exteriors
This product works well for exteriors and interiors. Smells good, removes normal residue quickly- unabrasive and non-toxic.It's not going to remove tar or pine sap from your gear. Nor will it magically remove other mystery goop. What it will do is clean your gear after firing- Its also good for a quick polish to totally remove fingerprints without using oils.Works really good on polymer frames to remove contaminants from benching at the range. Would highly recommend as my gear is cleaner after having used it. And, as previously stated, it smells better than other cleaners. This product and Mil-comm's TW-25B lubricant grease are two of the best products for people who actually use their gear. That said, I still use a high-speed bore cleaner for barrels. I find this product works very well on other parts though. Its a little pricey for the amount you get. Try the little bottle first and when you decide you like it buy the big bottle and fill this one up for reuse.

Very Good and Safe Product to Clean Firearms
This product works just perfectly cleaning my Glock 22 4gen that I own. First time that I heard about this product was when I was watching a video in youtube of a police officer with over 20 years experience in law enforcement and arms instructor. In that video he was cleaning his own glock 22 and he strongly recommended this product, so I took his word for it and bought it here at amazon and I have no regrets what so ever. This product is non toxic and it is also safe for those polymer plastic sections that glocks have. It leaves no residues after cleaning and it keeps my glock looking like brand new every time.

Good Stuff
I bought the Mil-comm products to try out for a while along with other products including my final choice, FrogLube. However, I can recommend the Mil-comm suite (cleaner, grease and oil) as they left my guns in fine shape for the range. I like the idea that it is not a CLP (clean/lube/protect) all-in-one product (except wipes). The cleaner/degreaser is a separate product. The explanation is that adding a cleaner/degreaser to a lubricant (like other CLP products) is counterintuitive. The cleaner/degreaser decreases the effectiveness of the lubricant/protectant. That made sense to me. Also, emails to Mil-comm get a quick and personal answer. Nice customer care.

Pricey but no smell
I switched over from Hoppes after a friend got this stuff and I discovered after helping her clean her gun it had no odor. I'm switching over to all Mil-comm products and we'll see how that goes, but for now this cleaner works well and my neighbors can't smell when I'm cleaning my guns. I also like the pump spray as it's easy to spray on patches and I don't have to worry about tipping the bottle over anymore (Hoppes really makes a mess). Unfortunately I can only give this product 4 stars as it's on the pricey side.Update: Just used this to clean a grungy gas valve on a shotgun. Worked extremely well.
