I haven’t been able to use them because of the way they mount you have to have 3 to 4 inches clear behind the mounting point. They’re well constructed and I have no doubt they will be perfect if I could install.

Well, I tightened the crap out of the bolts, because I could take two hands and get it to slide still, and then once it got dark I turned them on to aim them. They needed adjustments so I loosened them a little to get them to move. The light wouldn't go side to side. Loosened it more, no movement. Took the screw out and the whole bottom of the light was blown out bent in a "dome" where the nut was. I know I tightened it a bit, but shouldn't have bent that bad! Anywho, I moved the nut over and got the light where I wanted it which put the nut back on straight metal, it was at least an 1.5" from the bent part. I tightened it but not enough that it bent, and not enough that you couldn't still grab onto it and slide it around. I planned on getting it on the water at night and try the lights on step so I knew how it was, before the final tightening which would again bend the light. I had installed these 2 lights on the nose of my Hewescraft SeaRunner 220 HT ET. We live off-grid in Southeast Alaska and we have to drive 10 miles by boat to get to the nearest town. So we battle some intense weather, including rough seas taking major waves on the front of the boat. I battled 4'-6' seas last Monday and took a lot of spray in the bow, the waves stack up very close together so there is no way you can prevent the bow from getting hammered with waves. My wife sews marine canvas so I had asked her to make a pair of coveres for these lights to keep the spray from being forced into the lights. But I just installed the lights so she hasn't had time to make the covers for them. I was quite happy to say that after last Mondays gale force trip to town, the lights were dry the next day!!! But then yesterday when we were rushing to get a sick dog to town, my wife launched me at the beach and parked the truck. When she hopped onto the nose of the boat, she accidentally kicked one of the lights. It just popped right off the mount!!! She was devastated and kept apologizing. I told her that these lights were definitely not built tough enough for Alaska!!! I had told her I had bent the other light by ovwr tightening and that one, I had left a tiny bit loose.the nut was just ripped right out of the aluminum slot!!!

Good product the lights work well they just do not project much of a beam like I was hoping definitely not headlights for a boat

The lights are considerably bright. I would estimate that pair outputs about 12-14k lumens. The amp draw for the pair was 4.1 amps at 12.9 volts. I tested them prior to installing to determine the brightness and power consumption. Hopefully they will last. Very good set for the price.
