I used these in the living room on the existing ceiling. These stick out a bit as a result of how they were installed; however, they still look great. I have received many good compliments for the lights already.

The concept of these Caniuev aluminum channels is fantastic, and I think they could provide modern lighting in a sleek, trimless look. I’m excited about the aesthetic—clean lines and diffused lighting are exactly what I'm looking for. We're renovating but not at the point of installing these yet, so this review is based on what I'm seeing by examining the channels I received.The aluminum looks sturdy and easy to cut to size. Some people have complained about the screws, but if you’ve done any drywall work before, you’ll likely have the right screws on hand and know how to mount them. That said, even with some drywall experience, this may not be an easy install. I'm gearing up for a lot of layering and sanding.I suspect precision we'll be key. My plan is to:*Cut the drywall perfectly to ensure the lights sit tight and level.*Secure the aluminum firmly with screws that are flush with the surface.*Be meticulous about sanding and reapplying mud to achieve a flawless finish.*Ensure the diffuser cover is positioned correctly before mudding—once it dries, adjusting it will be a nightmare.*For stability, I'll install multiple wooden backing pieces to anchor the aluminum securely to the 2x4 studs. This will prevent any shifting, even if heat from the lights causes slight expansion.But the real challenge? Mudding. I'll can imagine I'll need to apply a super-smooth 1/16-inch layer over the aluminum to achieve a seamless look. Floating mud to that level of precision is tough and I highly doubt this will be a one-session install. Fun.Even so, I look forward to finally installing these channels and reaping the benefits of my hard work!

Love this product and will use more when the time comes. My only tiny complaint is that the drywall does bump up a little where the aluminum is behind. So at the right angle you can see a little raise. But if I had the patience I could fix it with more mud I guess. Not noticeable enough for me to care.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great product. I would highly recommend if you’re looking to install some LEDs in a remodel project, new construction, or in general in your home.They are a bit challenging to install if you’re using 5/8 drywall they made for half inch

Okay diffusion, could be better. With lower density strips you will see significant hot spotting. This is less apparent with high density strips so keep that in mind. The low profile nature makes the aluminum channels more versatile.

Love the ability to customize shapes! Installation was straightforward, and the results are stunning.

These will go well in the garage. I’m trying for a modern guy-haven type setup.
