These buttons are amazing
The media could not be loaded. We tried some other styles of buttons and they worked fine, but for my dog, she has some special needs, she is blind and deaf on her right side, it’s a birth defect, nerve damage in her neck has made her complete deaf in her right ear and her right eye sees mostly shadows. So you can imagine with the shadows she would bark all the time and at everything and so she thought barking was how to get our attention for everything and it was constant because she was trying to tell us what she needed.Once she realized the buttons talk for her it changed her whole world! These buttons are better in every way because the speaker is not underneath the button so it’s louder and clearer, which is perfect for my partial deaf girl. They come with the mats to put them in so they stay stable which helps a lot because she can’t see the pictures on the front so her buttons need to be organized so she know last where each word is, we worry she could lose her eyesight so this helps her to be able to talk to us on bad days easily. They are easy to use and my girl picked up on it fast. Her barking dropped by 75% and her anxiety dropped as well. Dogs are intelligent and these buttons make life so much easier!

Technically he does use it…
It was easy to record and sounds good to me. I got it for my poor baby. He’s 14, has liver cancer. He still has an appetite but I need to make sure he still eats enough. He’s been losing weight. I realized that he wants fresh food even if there’s food in his bowl. He licks the food when he tries to get it so I guess after a few hours it tastes different 🤷♀️. I think I had this for a week and when I heard food I get excited but it turns out he just sat on it. He seems to like the cushion so well he does use it in a way. Just not how I hoped. Kenny is up there and I’m not great with training. When I had a dog I could teach him to sit or lay down but he’d always forget one or the other. So I might not be a good teacher lol.

Not for large animals
The product was decent, and it was my fault for getting trigger happy and not double checking the size. I would not say it works for all size of animals, and my large husky’s paws are almost double the size of the button. Struggled to see the button when on the mat, so he kept swatting in the general direction and ripped the mat, a lot. Good thing it comes with extra pieces! He does better with the Buttons on the floor. If we were still trying to use the buttons attached to the mat, my only other complaint with the mat is that it slides super easily and they could easily add some anti slip on the bottom to prevent dogs from sliding it on the floor. 4/5 for quality, not because my dog is too big.

Cringe
Product works great and I’m sure with some effort it may work, but one thing I didn’t consider is that you record your own voice saying things for the buttons. There’s no volume option, so when pressed you loudly hear your own voice speaking. this is probably common sense but I just didn’t consider how cringed I would be to hear that 😂

3 cats and none want anything to do with the buttons
Let me start by saying that I know not all cats will take to this. I have 3 cats, and I was sure that a particular cat would use it. Cat #1 wants nothing to do with humans other than having us serve her food, so no surprise she has no interest in the buttons other than trying to chew the foam mats. I had to put tape on the edges to keep her from eating the foam. (We've had this issue with her and exercise mats, so I wasn't surprised. Just no idea why she likes to chew foam but I'm not looking for an emergency vet bill in the thousands.)Cat #2 is overweight, on a diet, and highly motivated by food. I thought he'd take to the training with no problem using treats. Now he thinks that treats come out of the buttons or something and he still won't press them. He knows what it means when *I* press a button, but he wants nothing to do with pressing them himself.Cat #3 is the one I thought would definitely be smart enough to use the buttons. He knows what they mean, and he even runs to the mat when I go over there to encourage him. But like #2, he wants nothing to do with pressing them himself. He'll walk around and over the mat and occasionally accidentally presses a button (never the one he means) but will not purposely put a paw on a button no matter the training or treats. And because he's skittish, I can't even try to encourage paw placement. As for the product itself, it's well-made, sturdy, and it works (just not for my 3 cats). On carpet, the volume is a little quieter than I'd like because I would have to be in the same room to hear if a button is pressed. Also, they don't always play the sound. Sometimes I'll have to tap a button 2 or 3 times to get it to play.Of course it took longer than the Amazon return period to determine that none of my 3 cats are interested in this, so I'm stuck with an expensive way for ME to talk to my cats. I gave this 3 stars because it's a decent product that just doesn't work for my household.

These are the old buttons with the speaker on the bottom - poor quality
Poor quality. All of the buttons are the older first generation model that has the speaker on the bottom and no holes on the top. That makes the volume quite faint. If I'd realized that I would not have ordered this set so I'm pretty disappointed. Also 3 of the buttons don't work properly - the seem to have speaker issues and are more quiet and/or crackly. I do not recommend this set and I plan on returning it. For the price this feels like a rip off as the quality just isn't there. I own the next generation buttons as well (the ones with the holes) and they are a lot better. But of course you can't order a tile kit with those buttons on canadian amazon. Kind of wish I had no decided to go with fluent pet in the first place. I may look around for other products that are compatible with the buttons I have.

Great product BUT
I order this tester kit of 2 buttons as I wasn`t sure if our Labrador would be focused enough to use them.He pleasantly surprised me although 1 button we recorded "treat" & yes like a true Labrador he persistently pressed that button. It`s a shame however that despite searching the internet it appears that I am unable to purchase supplementary buttons. The only way I have found is to pay huge P&P from the USA.If I had realised this in the start, despite loving the FluentPet brand, I would have chosen a different brand that is readily available in the UK & doesn`t require being imported at an inflated cost to the customerA set of 12 was discounted toPURCHASE £91 from £114SHIPPING £44TAXES £27 Totalling £71 (buttons £91)

Missing the stickers and getting started guide.
The box contained the buttons and hex tiles, but not the stickers or starter guide that was supposed to be in it. Disappointing.
