Exactly as I expected. Worked great for a pirate event I attended. Hat looked authentic. The medallion is some type of metal, not plastic, which is very appreciated. The only thing I would change is to remove the skull and cross bones from the eye patch. I thought I could just flip it over, but the elastic strap is noticeably stitched onto the blank side, so flipping it over was not an option.

This is a great combo for the price. I was hoping the hat wouldn't look too cheap or silly. Weathered leather look is well done. Hat unfolds to structured shape with snaps Its just right for an adult pirate! Patch band rather snug but ok fit. Like the gold coin. Cute gift box.

Hat could be a little bigger but it's what I was looking for

My 17 year old daughter decided to be a pirate this year for Halloween but the costume only came with the 3 clothing items.This was the perfect cost effective addition to her costume because it has a faux leather hat, an eye patch, and a gold dabloon necklace.The hat was folded in the box when it arrived and has 3 snap locations on the sides of the hat. Once you snap all three spots in to place it takes shape and looks exactly like the picture.The fit is good for a teenage/adult head but probably too big for a little kid.The material is good quality and should function well.

I was very impressed with the quality of this! Hat size fit my 10 year old perfect, great value for what I paid, and my daughter wore is all night and the hat was comfortable. Would buy again

This pirate tricorn hat is an alright addition to your costume. The hat looks good but it runs a little small especially if you're wearing a pirate wig. The coin is metal but not very big or heavy. There are bigger and heavier editions out there. If you're buying this for a kids costume, it should work great. If you're buying this for an adult, it might be a tight fit. Hope this review helps.

Great for Halloween - looks more expensive than it is.
