Rich, smooth and full of flavour. Excellent value
Hands down one of the best value rums under 30£. A beautifully balanced rum with notes of molasses, dark chocolate, and warm spice. Incredibly smooth for a 7-year-old — perfect neat or in an Old Fashioned. Excellent value for a proper aged Trinidad rum.

Good Mixing Rum
Angostura 7 year old is a perfectly decent rum for mixing and at £25-30 it's understandable to label it as premium Caribbean Rum in that price range. Angostura 7 has hints of molasses and chocolate on the nose and palate. Angostura smells like a richer Guyanese Demerara rum but does not have the taste of a Demerara rum. There are better rums out there for the same price but there are many worse rums out there as well.

Lovely colour, smells great and has a wonderful, deep, smooth taste. Perfect neat or on the rocks.

Smooth taste
I normally drink Captain Morgan's spiced rum but after buying this for my boyfriend (me having a glass or two) I have no regrets. It is lovely and smooth, has a great taste and completely worth the money. I'm looking forward to my next purchase.

Tasty sweet with character and after taste
I am not fun of the rums but was pleasantly suprised by complexity and sweetness of it with banana ( very mild ) after taste Sweetness just perfect remind me of southern comfort but with a far more depth. Defo good for drinks with friends

It is OK but not distinguished.
It is OK. Not in any way distinguished and barely worth drinking neat but there is nothing objectionable about it. It is probably perfect for mixers so I will serve it to my visitors who mix their rum with Coke etc. It is obviously a matter of personal- taste because my instinct is that it would be fine with just a single drop of maple syrup to give it just a hint of sweetness. I will try that if I have run out of everything else.

The best Rums are from Trinidad & Tobago or from Barbados. They are pure and well refined. We love it as there are no after headaches and can be served on the “rocks”. Very enjoyable.
