wow!!!! hair removal is GREAT!
We have pets...I recently had a Eureka vacuum, and a Bissell carpet cleaner...However the hair seemed to become more of an issue....and Both stated machines always needed cleaning after use.. I reluctantly Bought a Shark Vacuum......That was amazing! I love that vacuum....so when I saw there was a "pet shampoo carpet cleaner" by Shark I was again reluctant to buy/but had high hopes. It arrived/easy to assemble, I immediately had to try. I cleaned the front living room 12x12 with the shark vacuum first. Then used this carpet cleaner. WOW! the pictures say it all! the hair collector bin was filled with hair/even AFTER the room was carefully vacuumed! This machine is easy to use...it feels slightly heavy/but operates like a dream. The electric cord is plenty long. The shampoo cleaner container is easy to remove/install. I like how it has a "measure line" on it so I don't use more cleaner than I need. The best part is this has a "pad" to put the cleaner on when storing so if any liquid is remaining, it won't leak on your floor. So back to the pic's. As you see this is only a one time use with the carpet solution. ALL THAT HAIR! and.....the brush remained hair free!!! what a bonus! As I read other reviews...some say the cord is short/it is not..it's about 15'? some say the collection bin is small....it is/but it allows you to clean a room without emptying. The cleaner solution container to dirty water collecting container seem to be proportional...so one container of cleaner/will empty as soon as your dirty collection fills. The still amazing issue to me is...all that deep embedded hair that was not seen, not picked up by yesterdays vacuuming and todays vacuuming. I stopped using my Bissell last summer because after every use it seemed as if I had to disassemble to remove all the hair that got stuck in the roller, vacuum suction,hose....after using this Shark it appears I only had to remove the hair fron the yellow bin and rinse the dirty water container. Very nice, Good Price, and I Would buy again.

Great carpet cleaner, worth every penny
I received this carpet cleaner yesterday, and after I vacuumed our floors with our Shark upright vacuum, I immediately used the carpet cleaner. I have to say, this carpet cleaner is amazing! After switching from the Bissell ProHeat to this model, the difference is striking. Even after vacuuming, there are always small animal hairs left in the carpet, but this carpet cleaner manages to get them all up, while the Bissell often left clumps behind. The Shark effectively sucks them up and traps the hair in the hair catch! I love that there is no trigger; it only dispenses the cleaning solution when you're pushing it forward. The only downside is the small solution tank; it barely lasts for a small room. However, aside from that, it works great, is easy to assemble, and is already worth the money! The dry-only mode also significantly reduces the drying time of the carpet by at least half, if not more—no more needing a fan to speed up the process!

Shark CarpetXpert HairPro Pet Vacuum
I am so impressed with the Shark CarpetXpert HairPro Pet vacuum. As a pet owner, I’ve tried plenty of cleaners that claim to handle pet messes, but this one actually delivers. It pulls up an unbelievable amount of hair — far more than I realized was hiding in my carpets — and it leaves everything looking freshly revived. The suction is powerful, the brush roll doesn’t tangle, and the built‑in stain remover is a total game changer for pet accidents. What really surprised me is how quickly it lifts deep dirt and how clean the carpet feels afterward. Even high‑traffic areas look noticeably brighter. It’s easy to maneuver, simple to empty, and the whole machine feels thoughtfully designed for real-life pet households. If you have pets and want a cleaner that truly gets down into the carpet fibers, this is absolutely worth it. Five stars without hesitation.

Fantastic rug cleaning system for multi-pet homes!
I’ve been very impressed with the Shark CarpetXpert Pet Hair Pro overall. The unit is easy to work with and feels very heavy-duty and well built. It cleans extremely well, you can literally see the dirt being pulled up as you use it, which is very satisfying and reassuring. It works especially well on pet hair and high-traffic areas particularly for a home cleaning unit. Cleaning and maintaining the unit is also straightforward, which is a big plus. The tanks and components are easy to remove and rinse, making cleanup after use quick and hassle free. The only downside I’ve noticed is with the roller brush. It has to be in the exact correct position for the machine to properly suction up the cleaning solution. Unfortunately, the unit doesn’t alert you if the roller brush isn’t positioned correctly, so the solution can oversaturate the rug until you realize something isn’t functioning as it should. Aside from that issue, this is a powerful, effective carpet cleaner that delivers excellent results, especially for homes with pets. I’d still highly recommend it, just with a bit of extra attention while using it.

Love love love!
I highly recommend this steam cleaner to anyone who has pets and/or children. I have a husky/ lab mix and he sheds like a husky. I really liked the hair collecter and the hair collector attachment for the hand held cleaner. It works great with separating the dirty water and the hair so it won't clog drains. Since the snow has mostly melted, he has been tracking in mud. Even after wiping down his paw. I also have 2 toddlers under 3 and most parents know how that is. At my house some how the berries always get smashed into the carpet. The cleaning solution it comes with works great on stains. It smells fresh and of floral. It also made my carpet feel so soft and plush after it dried. The hose for the hand held cleaner is very long and makes cleaning the stairs so much easier. I'm looking forward to using this to clean the car. I think most of the negative reviews were from user error or Amazon issues and not with the actual product. Some people mentioned it not sucking up the water. It has a dry only setting and it works amazingly. I cleaned the carpets and then used the dry only setting. My carpet was completely dry within an hour or less. I would say 30 mins. I hope this review helps anyone who wants to use this product.

Small tank, Don’t care! Exceptional Cleaning!!
Despite the small tank I LOVE IT! It cleans so good that I don’t care that I have to empty/fill the tanks often. Basically, with every other full DWT (dirty water tank) you have to add more solution. I quickly learned that putting it in dry mode allowed me to run the brush over more frequently on the dry cycle and not wasting any solution. That being said, a small room with a queen bed used about 1/2 of a 28oz bottle of solution. For whole room cleaning, definitely get more! The results and ease of use out weigh these issues. I highly recommend!

Works on high pile, shag area rug
Reviewing this item because although the listing says it works on all carpets, there wasn't specific information re: shag rugs. The purchase was a gamble definitely paid off. We love our 9' x 12' light-colored shag area rug. So does our 40 lb black collie-husky mix. When it was time for a deep clean we started looking at Bissell and ultimately decided on the Shark CarpetXpert HairPro with StainStriker, EX301. One of the features mentioned in the reviews that appealed to us was the removal of pet hair, which undoubtedly was embedded in our carpet fibers even though we regularly bathe & brush the dog, and vacuum the rug with a Dyson Animal upright vacuum. We also liked hearing about it's great suction, a brushroll that doesn't get tangled, the dry only mode, the 4 attachments, and self-cleaning mode. We did get a "Brushroll Jam" warning when we first began. It took a little time to find the right technique but soon figured it out. After we went over the rug once, the carpet pile was fluffed up and there were no more jam warnings. Attached are photos of the rug & most impressively, the amount of hair that was collected in the filter when we were finished. Now that the carpet has dried, there are a couple areas where the dog lays every day that need a little more attention. We'll spot clean these using a handtool in the StainStriker mode (combining 2 cleaning agents) and finish up with one more overall shampoo. Cleanup is simple and re-assembly is a breeze. This product blew us away, and we highly recommend it. On a final note, we followed the advice in another review and used only 1 tablespoon of the Deep Clean liquid instead of the recommended amount.

Great clean, Tiny tank
This carpet cleaner does the best job cleaning the carpet of any home carpet I have ever had. I have owned both Bissle and Hoover cleaners previously. I loved the stain striker feature and it did get some pet spots out of my carpet that I did not think would come out. The units suction is beyond compare. Also the dry only feature is great and my carpets did dry more quickly than they normally would. I have two long haired dogs and despite vacuuming before using the cleaner previously there would be clumps of wet dog fur left on the carpet for me to pick up as I cleaned. This cleaner does not do that and the wet fur is caught in the filter in the dirty water tank which is very nice. For me there are a couple of issues with the machine. First, the cleaner is placed directly into the water tank so it is dispersed onto the carpet but that means that you put cleaner onto the carpet and the soap residue stays in there and, as we all know, soap attracts dirt leading to have to clean the carpet more frequently. I ended up dividing my rooms into sections. First I cleaned with the soap in the water, then I rinsed the carpet using a tank of water only, and then I dried the carpet unsung the dry only cycle. The second issue with the Shark cleaner is that the tanks for both the clean and dirty water are TINY. I cleaner the carpets in the office, the master bedroom which is a good size, and our walk in closet. Our off ice is a normal dized room. With our previous cleaners I would have to fill the water tank once and dump the dirty water once also. While using the cleaner in the tank I had to fill and dump 5 times. I ever had to fill and dump in my closet. I lost track in the master bedroom. Sometimes if felt that all I was doing was filling and dumping the tanks. I know it would make the machine heavier to have bigger tanks but I’d rather have a heavier machine that let me clean for a longer time. I felt as if I was constantly starting and stopping. Even with the tank size issues I’m happy with my Shark carpet cleaner. It does a fantastic job of cleaning the carpets.
