Q: Can you scroll through the recordings and delete certain ones, like if you wanted to delete loop 1, 4 and 7 for example?

Yes you scroll to the one you want to delete and press main button for maybe two seconds. Easy to delete I sure have needed to to get a nice loop going.

Q: is this a single tap on and off unit or do i have to tap twice to turn it on or off? This is a simple question but I doubt if I'll get an answer.

One selects the track channel by pressing the smaller buttons. If there is data/music in the channel, then >tapping press and holding double tap press and hold< deletes the contents of the channel. I haven't used the unit a lot, but the above is from the instructions. It does seem intuitive when in use. I hope this helps.

Q: This pedal does not let signal pass through it when not powered. Anyone know if the switch can be replaced with a true bypass one?

I keep it plugged in and play with out using the loop effect. There is power going to it and if I choose to use the pedal I click its button. I don't think it is diminishing my instrument signal to the amp and it's ready to go when I want to use it. I like mine.
