We have exposed pipes that could freeze in the winter. This tape saved me the hassle of broken pipes this year!

Not worth the price; low quality
I bought this pipe insulation tape in preparation for the Winter Storm scheduled to arrive in Texas the week of January 20th, 2025. I bought it a couple of weeks before the event so that I wouldn’t have to worry about insulating the pipes last minute. When I first installed it, the adhesive was very strong and seemed of good quality. I had previously bought similar tape from a different manufacturer and that tape had lasted almost all year so I was expecting a similar result from this one. Well, imagine my surprise when a few days before the storm my wife comes in and tells me the tape is coming undone. I went outside to verify and sure enough the tape was coming off and some of it was even missing because it had come off and the wind had blown it away. I’ve attached images for reference.Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. I had to order the tape from the other manufacturer just to be able to insulate the pipes again. I ended up doing what I had been trying to avoid, which was insulating the pipes at the last minute. Lesson learned I guess.

Not used yet,but I have heard it is very good. Let the water drip from the lowest point in the house,when the temps are 10 degrees & lower

Did not remain in place after I wrapped it around the pipe and stuck it to itself
Because of the stiffness of this product I couldn't spiral around the pipe as I hope to so when I cut shorter pieces but left what I thought was enough room for it to stick on itself I seen a short period of time it has separated and doesn't want to restick again. Was going to take it all off and start over with another product but decided to just use the second product over it to keep it in place. Didn't work for me

Great for finishing off pipe & hose insulation project.

Loses stickiness and comes loose.
Lasted only one cold month. Tape does not stick well to itself when it gets wet from rain or dew. Ok to head off a cold snap, but expect to reapply soon.
