A Must-Have for Remote Setup
I needed this adapter to transition into a full-time remote work setup, and it’s been one of the most straightforward and dependable tools I’ve used. As soon as I plugged it into my MacBook, everything connected seamlessly—no software installation, no setup, no confusion. It instantly recognized my external monitor and allowed me to connect a USB keyboard and charger simultaneously. The design is compact and durable, true to Apple’s typical build quality. It feels premium and holds up well in daily use, even after being thrown into bags or moved around frequently. I especially appreciate how simple and functional it is—you plug it in, and it works. It doesn’t overheat, disconnect, or cause issues with resolution or lag on external displays. While it may seem a bit expensive compared to third-party options, I’ve had those cheaper adapters fail after a few months. This one has been completely reliable and consistent, which makes it more than worth the price for me—especially when I rely on it for work. If you’re using a USB-C MacBook and need to connect external displays or accessories, this is a smart investment. It’s not flashy, but it delivers exactly what it promises—clean, dependable performance without any stress.

Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter: Essential and Reliable!
This is my second Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter, and there's a reason for that: it's an absolutely essential and incredibly reliable piece of kit for anyone deeply integrated into the Apple ecosystem with USB-C devices. Like many, I rely heavily on my MacBook and iPad Pro for work and entertainment. This adapter is my go-to for presentations, connecting to external displays at home, and even just giving my iPad a quick charge while using a USB-A accessory. The ability to output to an HDMI display, connect a standard USB-A device (like a flash drive, keyboard, or mouse), and simultaneously charge via USB-C pass-through is incredibly convenient and makes my workflow seamless. The first adapter I owned served me faithfully for years, enduring countless commutes, presentations, and general daily use without a hitch. When I needed a second setup for a different location, there was no question about what to purchase. The build quality is exactly what you'd expect from Apple – robust and designed to last. Compatibility is flawless with all my Apple devices, delivering crisp video and stable connections every time. While some might find the price a bit steep compared to third-party alternatives, the peace of mind that comes with guaranteed compatibility, consistent performance, and Apple's renowned reliability is worth every penny. For me, it's not just an adapter; it's a productivity enhancer that I simply can't do without. Five stars, and I'd buy a third if I needed it!

Better than the rest
This is a more expensive version of a USB-c to HDMI adapter. I own 2 other non-Apple products that were less expensive. However, this one works better - the off-brands don’t reliably work with some of my Apple devices and can distort the sound. This expensive Apple device works reliably and works well.

Does NOT work with iPhone 16e.
This USB C to HDMI and USB 2 adaptor doesn't work with my iPhone 16e. It works with my MacBook Pro that has USB C but not the iPhone that I wanted it to work with. I plan to keep it for my computer but am disappointed because the description said it worked with iPhone 16. It didn't specify that it did NOT work with iPhone 16e. After further research I found this: The iPhone 16e does not support HDMI output because it lacks the necessary feature called DisplayPort Alt Mode, which is required for video transmission through its USB-C port. Therefore, you cannot connect it directly to a TV or monitor using an HDMI cable. I wish someone had told me.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to 👍
I’ve been using this USB-C adapter for a while now and honestly, it’s been solid. No issues at all. I plug it into my Mac or iPad, hook up the HDMI, and boom — screen’s mirrored in seconds. Super easy. What I really like is that I can still charge my device and use a USB port at the same time — super handy when I’m working or watching stuff. It just works, every single time, no random disconnects or tech headaches. If you need something reliable to connect your stuff to a TV or projector, this one’s a win. Simple, no drama, does the job without a problem. Well worth the money!

Works with iPhone 17.
Works with iPhone 17 pro max. Of course you can just use an HDMI to C cable but if you want to mirror AND charge you’ll need this. Rant…As for the design I have always hated the design of these, but if you need it you need it. Why have it a piece of plastic with a goofy cable tangling off rather than a dock or something that follows the shape of the phone and plugs in? With the lightning ones the cable bending and twisting is IMO why they eventually fail. Why would USB C be different… Wouldn’t a dock fix that? Come on Apple you can do better. What do you do at that spaceship all day anyway??? And it’s just like the old lightning ones. SENSITIVE. Look at it funny and it will disconnect. Solution? Unplug it and plug it back in. Come on Apple!
