I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do. The twist adjustment to tension the base into the cupholder is absolutely perfect. The shaft seems a bit roughly finished, but isn't offensive to the eyes. The spring loaded phone holder at the top is a bit crude and makes a creaking noise when I stretch it wider to fit my phone. I ended up ditching the phone holder part and installing a magsafe phone holder on the same ball mount and this thing now works perfectly for me. 5/5 if you're willing to customize it.

It would be a better product if it stayed tight in the cup holder, it loosens you have to constantly tighten it overall its nice

The cup holder part expands to the size of your cupholder. Then there's an arm up to the phone holder. It has a pivot point under it as well, so both ends can change direction/orientation. I actually used this to hold a web cam for my 3D printer because I like how it can be adjusted. The heigh is also somewhat adjustable but it's not a HUGE range of heights. If your cupholder is down in your centerconsole, even at its max height you would not want to look at a phone in this holder while driving. It does do a great job of converting a common thing in cars, a cupholder, to a convenient place to put your phone while driving, but not look at it actively.
