- JBL Stage 2 200P 300 Watt 10 Inch Powered Subwoofer (Latte)

I haven't had the subwoofer very long but so far I'm extremely pleased.

Upon unboxing the JBL sub you could tell like with all their other speakers they care about them getting to you in one piece. I’m running 3 powered subs from an older Yamaha RXV2400 and this sub complimented the other 2 in the array with musicality type sounding tight bass. Not that boomy, bouncy, un natural sound that so many subs output. I’m no expert with meter’s and gauges but I do have an ear for good sounding drivers and music in general. This sub is tight and musical. You can hear and feel the strings pluck on the bass. You can hear and feel the low hum of the cello. It’s also much smaller than my Paradigm PS1000 with the same size driver. Thank the gods for that because I’m running out of room and it’ll easily fit under an end table. It’s a direct firing array with a tuned port in back with tunable gain and volume with the option for auto on or switchable on/off. It’s got nice weight and comes with soft feet for hardwood floors or spikes for carpet. I looked around and felt with JBL I was getting a deal and know it’s sound and quality. I still own a pair from the 80s that are perfect and are used in my den and bought a more modern JBL replacement for my front room satellites. This JBL sub compliments them perfectly. This new sub also took to a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver from Dayton Audio without the typical hiss and hum you encounter on other subwoofers. Overall, considering the marketplace on subwoofers, I consider this a good value with plenty of power to complement the look and sound of your other speakers.
