The pros of model A110 from F&D are aesthetic design, upward tilt of the satellites for better sound dispersion, high power output, unbelievable clarity, excellent frequency response, tight bass, and separate bass volume control. And you get all this at a surprisingly low cost (I paid just Rs.1535)! A prospective buyer can blindly buy this product. For my system the sound improved after playing for half an hour (Breaking-in ?). I had become a fan of F&D after buying a W130BT 2.1 system for gifting a friend, way back in March 2015 (from Reliance Digital). When it started playing we couldn’t believe our ears. The audio quality was way beyond what we had expected. I ended up buying one unit for myself in the following week! The price was about Rs. 2700 or so then. This system is now connected to my home PC for music playback using foobar. Last Saturday I ordered one each of the V620 Plus and A110 models of F&D, and received both units today from Amazon. V620 Plus will be connected to my office PC, while A110 will replace the existing speakers connected to the DIY satellite radio at home (our way of hearing Akashvani Trivandrum in Bangalore, catching high quality digital transmission from Insat 4B). I guess A110 and W130BT have similar innards (except that the latter is Bluetooth enabled). The subwoofer has a “ported” design in both W130BT and A110. Bass port in A110 is a bit bigger and flared compared to the W130BT unit I have. Despite the ported design bass is “tight”, and relatively better in the A110 model. Getting tight bass in a ported design is not easy: it shows competent design by the F&D engineers. From the very beginning the clarity of sound in the W130BT had baffled me. Recently I opened the subwoofer box to investigate, and there it was: the “active crossover” design, which means each satellite and the subwoofer has its own separate amplifier circuit. Active crossovers are usually found only in very expensive amplifiers. Moreover the circuit board is top class, and surface mount devices (SMD) could be seen. I guess the design is similar in the A110 too. In short, F&D has adopted a circuit topology which is normally seen only in expensive audiophile type of amplifiers, and integrated the right speaker drivers to it, to produce a quality, VFM audio product. What other companies offer at this price point are mostly crap in comparison. Keep it up, F&D. At this rate you will rule the Indian audio market in the next 10 years!

Working fine after many years... music quality is good...when connected with projector giving good output to watch movies

I've just had this system for less than a week so it's too early to write a detailed review. But from what I've been getting from these little gems already is pretty satisfying and surprising for its size and price.. I need speakers mostly for music and movies on my laptop and not for video games, so far I have no issues. The build quality is decent and the size is not overwhelming and for the price of 1600 rupees the quality of sound is simply too good. I listen to rock, jazz, afro-latin (salsa, samba), western classical and psytrance. Pleased to find that these can handle all of them fairly well; the lowest frequency is 65hz so deep bass tones are not to be expected but nothing is really amiss in range reproduction wise. Yes they are a bit on the bright side on the mids and highs but in a good way ...perhaps after breaking in they will turn a bit warmer, but even if they don't it makes for a pleasant listening. I would recommend these to anyone wanting a very decent and impressive sound system for under 2K. After 3 Months: The sound has definitely got a bit warmer after some weeks of use - which was expected and I am happy with what it churns out . The quality of sound ( clarity and separation) from these little things still continues to make me smile and feel amazed . The Bass is good enough for me as I am not a deep bass head. In short I am more than happy with the purchase.

Review after 10 years ! The best speaker I had, never thought it would be of great quality as it was only 1500, however, it was worth much more. The best asset I had and staying strong even today !

The 2.1 system has stopped working after 1 month. for the price even if it had stopped working after a year i wouldnt have bothered much. But 1 month is really disappointing. I read through lot of the positive feedback on this product and hence bought this item. Firstly i am quite an audiophile who is very particular about sound quality and have invested in decent equipment for my HT or my car. The only reason i needed a 2.1 was for my 50inch TV in my bedroom for which i didnt need a powerful system but a decent 2.1 that can give me decent highs/lows at lower volume. I used to have a Altec Lancing 2.1 unit earlier that i got from US and worked great for 8 years. Having read through the review and few on youtube as well i was ok to take a chance with the F&D 2.1 given the price to quality ratio claimed by many on multiple forums. So here is my real and candid feedback on this item 1. The build quality is good and that is the last good thing about it 2. sound quality is flat at the most and frequency response range is not even comparable to 50% of the low end Altec Lancing i used to have with similar specs. 3. The sub woofer is weak and drops off the curve on deep bass - in other words bass is inadequate to match the 2 speakers. 4. You need to turn the bass knob on full and crank up high volume to get anything going. No point in keeping that knob actually. This defeats the whole purpose for me to use it with my TV because i would never turn on high volume. A/L was excellent in that area and used to to deliver a soft and deep bass with rich notes even at lower volume. 5. Gone in 1 month. Thats about the review and hope not to get carried off by reviews. Lesson learnt

Fabulous product! No doubt.. clarity of sound is 8.5/10, bass is 9/10.. way better for stereo music, video editing, and for entertainment ofc.. I am giving it a 3 out of 5 stars just for the packaging. I had received a defective piece earlier.. then i replaced it.. i had clear doubts that the package would be defective by looking at the packaging.. dude it was not even sealed properly.. they had literally used thin cello tape on top… and no manual inside/ no paperwork.. thermocol was also in pieces. When i connected everything the right speaker wasnt working.. issue with the audio output connector. I replaced it got the new one in just 2 days.. almost similar packaging found but this time the cello tape had F&D branding on it.. whatever it would be but packaging wasn't that satisfactory for such a nice product.. if u wanna buy sm good heavy 2.1 speaker system then GO FOR IT WITHOUT ANY WORIES!

I got these speakers in the month of October in a lightning deal for 1249/-. Additionally, a cashback of 100 was rewarded to me from amazon as I paid for it from my amazon pay balance. Coming to Amazon the service and delivery provided was just amazing as always. I am writing this review after 6 months of using it. ------------------------------------------ Now let's focus on the speakers: ------------------------------------------ -------------------- Sound Quality: -------------------- 1. The sound quality of this sound system is a beast. No compromises are done with the sound quality. 2. It comes with a 4inch driver for woofer as well as satellite speakers. Trust me which no speaker gives at this price range. 3. The bass is very powerful that you can feel the thumping, from your next room as well. 4. The sound is very crystal clear with no distortion at all even at high volume. 5. The bass output is given on the front side of woofer which helps you feel the bass properly. 6. Treble is decent but not that great. 7. The speakers gives an output of 3500W. Which I don't find any speakers give at a price range of 2k. --------- Design: --------- The speakers are having an elegant design which makes them eye catchy in just one look. The satellite speakers are having round base with no stand, which makes it easy to stand on any surface. ------------------ Build Quality: ------------------ 1.The build quality is just amazing for a price range of 2k. The woofer's cabinet is made up of wood which helps it to deliver strong and low distortion bass. 2. The woofer, as well as the satellite speakers, are having a strong metal grill to protect the internal drivers. 3. It is having a side panel control system, so no need to always go at the back of the speakers for adjustment of sound, bass or power. --------------- Portability: --------------- 1. The speakers are very light enough to carry it to any place for a party or celebration. As it just weighs around 2 kgs only. 2. These speakers comes with a 3.5mm jack included, so it can play music from your laptop as well as mobile phones. But not from any USB device. 3. You can convert these speakers by purchasing a Bluetooth adapter for around 200 bucks. So no need to spend more for a Bluetooth speaker.
