Well made lamp, strong magnet.
The magnet is powerful when set against steel of a decent thickness eg 3-10mm. On thin sheet steel it is easier to pull off. I'm using it on various machines eg a Grinding wheel where it sits on the main body firmly, a band saw where its just ok on the tin work but great on the steel table, and a wet grinder which has an alloy body, so screwed a piece of 10mm plate to the wall above it, which it grips very firmly. lamp is fairly bright not as powerful as I had hoped, it is a bright white light broadly equivalent to an old 60w bulb or a 10w LED. But works well as you can get it close to where you need it and adjust it just so. I'm in my mid 60's and find I need really good light & reading glasses these days. So a versatile lamp that can be moved to where I need it.

Wow! So powerful.
The media could not be loaded. I originally hoped I could use this to do my nails but will have to see, I'll have to find somewhere where there's enough room for it and enough room to place an iron plate which this is to be then placed on to.DO NOT look directly at the light as it is very powerful.I like the fact that it's flexible and can direct the light where you want. It's quite big, I also didn't expect this. It's also very sturdy which means that it's durability will be great.

Good for my job
I bought this light to give me focused light on tools I use like drill presses, belt linishers, bandsaws, routers and just doing a fine job on the bench. The magnetic version is great to move around different tools. The magnetic on/off style is great. This one is stronger that others I bought a couple of years back, which are going strong. You will not easily knock this of where you post it. The light coverage is good for what I want it for. IT

Work well.
Bright, using on a pillar drill so lots of metal to grab on to. Quite flexible and very bright so not bad. Not cheap but not unhappy with it.

Awful light, everything is a lie
Where to start. So first, unpacking. The light feels well made. However, the '14w plug' is so light I thought they had forgotten the transformer, but the reassuring rattle of it in the plug lets me know its there (good start).Turning the light on in my garage ( which is lit by two 900 lumin lights) I would of mistaken it for being on a low light setting. That's not a thing on this light. It's just really dull.OK take the lens screw cover off. The lens on the light is covered in scratches and chips even where the little focus lenes are. To rub salt into the wound, the led light unit clearly says 7w on it. Get the ole wattage checker out and sure enough the whole thing pulls 6.8w of power. So not a 14w light. There is also no magnetic aspect to this light. Just a plastic clamp.Do not buy this.

OK, but not outstanding
I bought this for my milling machine. The magnetic base is OK on a horizontal surface, but not great horizontally if you’re regularly making adjustments to the swan neck. I decided to do away with the magnet and bolt it directly to my machine and hard- wired the power supply into the machine electrics. The light is plenty bright enough, and it’s pure white, so ideal for my application. Time will tell how long it will last.

Fits where I wanted and give out a very good light .

Bright light, unbalanced design
I bought this to illuminate work on my lathe. The magnet is reasonably strong but if there is any major imbalance on the work, vibrations see the base move out of position. The light is bright - i bought the 1400 lux model - but the lamp head is large and the neck is short so frequent moving of the base is required to illuminate the cutting point. This is not what i wanted, so i'll use this as general illumination and not task lighting.
