THINGAMEJIG QT25.SCRIB Scribing Tool

Bought this after watching the product video and reviews online.I am an engineer, and this is a well made tool.The design is very good and the quality is also very good.I got this as I was installing a new kitchen and wanted to scribe worktops and plinths accurately.I must say I am very pleased and impressed with this.Worktops were offered up to the wall and the tool set accordingly, the blades are tungsten carbide and very sharp (watch your fingers!).The blade scores a line into the worktop and the beauty of this tool is that you can run it back and forth several times if you need to and it still scores an accurate line, which can then enable the item to be trimmed to fit.This tool will last ages.Not cheap, but happy to pay for a well thought out design which works.A credit to the designer and manufacturer, I cannot praise this tool enough.Just wish I had thought of it - oh well...Highly recommended.

Good product for scribing kitchen worktops to a wall. Useless for many types of scribing but it will come in handy for the right applications as long as I have it handy when I need it however finding all these types of gadgets when your on a job may take longer than just scribing it with any random object. I can see it being of use for when a blade in a planer isnt too sharp as it will score the product so it wont chip. Id probably buy it again. Definitely a well made item.

A good choice for scribing laminate and across the grain assuming blade is sharp and in good condition as blade will reduce chance of breakout . It as with all tools best when used for the purpose designed . I would not use on rough concrete surfaces / floors myself as detrimental to the tool, would chose another method .

Bit Over The Top on marketing and packaging but good product.Niche: for someone skilled enough to want and be able to create a fabulous finish there are other ways but are there easier ways?If you fit the niche then this is genius.

Fantastic product, great carpenters tool for scribing in worktops built in wardrobes etc. Well built and hard wearing. You won’t be disappointed.
