Why does the bell (50mm) end not tighten ? it threads on perfectly, but never seems to tighten all the way? i would prefer it not be lose. bill

That is the design of the product. The purpose is for the ears to align to the lower portion of the 50mm objective. The eye piece will tighten fully because of the adjustable objective. Ive had mine for 2 years now and never experienced any issues. Hope this helps.
