So far I've only hand washed it and put it in the counter dish drainer to dry. As you can see by my uploaded pictures that rust developed on both sides of the handle overnight.My understanding is that it was 100% stainless steel. Buyer beware?I'm not happy with this product and want to return it.

It's a perfectly functional phin, makes good coffee, but you need to go for a smaller size than I got if you want to brew directly into most mugs; measure your mugs and check the dimensions here.Otherwise, no complaints at all, and I'll probably get around to ordering a smaller version from this same maker, since I do like the overall quality and finish.

I'm a big coffee drinker and kind of collect unusual brewers. I use French presses or pour overs, mainly. This is sort of a combination of the two. It works well, I just had to fiddle with the grind size to get satisfactory results, and I'm still not entirely settled on the what yields the best results - medium fine, somewhere in that ballpark.
