It's a two-part connector (male and female) that locks together after being inserted into the biscuit slot. This creates an immediate, strong, and completely invisible joint, which is a feature for a clean final product. You'll hear a satisfying "click" to confirm the joint is properly set, and the hold is immediate, eliminating clamp time for assembly. Getting them into the slots requires some effort; the pieces are designed for a very tight fit, meaning you'll need to encourage (hammer) them in. This tightness is what gives the joint its strength, it’s a necessary step in the process. The manufacturer suggests gluing them into the slot for added security, though they function effectively without it due to the fit. Standard wood glue will adhere to the material and will swell the wood slightly, further tightening the biscuit in the slot, but that's something worth testing on a scrap piece before committing to a final project. I believe the plastic pieces are as strong as their wooden cousins. Overall, if you're looking for an immediate and invisible joint solution in your workshop, this system is definitely worth experimenting with. Just be prepared for the tight fit during the initial assembly stage.

While these connectors function as described I did not find them to be the perfect biscuit joint that I hoped for. It would seem that these will take some time to figure out best use and to actually get that good fit which I normally get from regular biscuits but I don’t know that I want to spend $2 per set in trial and error. They just were not that easy to use on that first project where I had hoped for the perfect joint. I normally use different size biscuits depending on the project so these would be one size for everything so having my several containers of varying sizes will still be necessary. When I consider the price of these and the work to get that really good joint I would have to say they are not the best value for the money. I love the idea of a biscuit that will click together and will continue my attempt to get what I am looking for with these but for now about 3 stars is all I can give at this time.

I’ve spent a morning playing with these, and they seem to be difficult to use and sloppy. It takes time to get them to sit just right, and when you finally get them in place they do not form a movement free joint.

These are simple and easy to install. They install into a standard biscuit slot. A slide in motion is used to capture the connector into a slot. There is a raised lip on the back of the halves that slice into the back of the slot. This keeps the connectors from pulling out laterally when the joints are assembled. Once the male and female halves are installed, the two pieces of wood just snap together. These create a strong and secure connection made amazingly fast. I also did find I can grab a pry bar and carefully separate the wood parts if needed. I could then rejoin them again just as securely as before. These will be great for some knockdown projects I have. I fully assemble the panels in the shop and check all dimensions and fit. Then carefully pry them apart and transport the panels in a flat pack and reassemble on site. I would use a little glue for the final assembly, but these are plenty strong without an added glue. These are very high quality. They have a perfect fit. It did take some practice to slide them into the biscuit slots, but I got it down after installing a few. These are so very useful and save a lot of time in the shop and site, well worth the price. Very little glue is needed for the final assembly. I can highly recommend these Knapp Fast Biscuit Connectors!

Nice item for snap together projects using no glue. Though, from what I can tell, its a permanent snap together.

I run a cabinet shop and these Knapp biscuits are my go to way to attach face frames. They are super easy to use and adjustable in the biscuit slot, like regular biscuits. They are easy to use and removable. This makes shop mockup then taking apart to deliver to the customer is super easy. I don't know how many times attaching and detaching it can handle, but I have used hundreds and never had one break. I highly recommend these!
