This was only a quick pass over half a rug that I vacuumed yesterday!! Super easy to use and just collects up the hair inside. It actually has little wheels on the sides that help keep you from pressing too hard and getting stuck but those are removable if you need a more powerful clean or if you're using it on a really low pile rug. I tried to do my entryway mat that my cats like to sleep on and at first it did literally nothing, but then I noticed the wheels and popped them off and then it worked like a charm! (just be careful you don't snap them, I don't think they're actually meant to be removed..) He does get pretty dusty and loose hairs static to the outside a bit so you will probably want to wash it off when you're done (or maybe I'm just a maniac and brushing too vigorously lol).

It is noticeably stiffer and less user friendly than the chomchom but does a good job considering it’s price.
