Ozeri ZK24 Garden and Kitchen Scale, with 0.5 g (0.01 oz) Precision Weighing Technology

I never thought I'd feel compelled to write a review for a kitchen scale but here I am. I've used multiple other scales I bought from Walmart and they were all terrible and inaccurate, seriously messed up my recipes. This scale promised to measure accurately up to half a gram, and it delivered. I made a batch of bagels and they came out perfectly unlike when I used a different brand. This will be my go-to scale from now on. If it ever breaks I'm getting another one of these!

I bought this to replace my old kitchen scale after it went to the great recycler in the sky. I waffled a bit because I wanted a scale with a little more functionality but I didn’t need to be able to utilize Alexa with it. This was (luckily) the perfect choice. Accuracy is spot on (I was so impressed with the ease of use—seemed too good to be true—so I checked it against my husband’s calibrated shop scale). I can bake like a British Bake-Off winnner…okay, false statement. But maybe I could. I’d credit my win to the scale. I could probably create my own sourdough starter that LIVED! No. No, that’s definitely a bald lie. But I could get it started accurately. Unfortunately, it needs to be fed and this scale won’t do that part. #imminentdeathBut it’s truly a great scale. It’s perfect for crafting, rounds out far enough any mistakes are unquestionably my own math errors, and it’s sleek enough to tuck away in a drawer without fuss. The “Tare” function couldn’t be easier, and it doesn’t turn off so fast you lose your spot if you need to cross the tiny kitchen to retrieve more ingredient(s). I highly recommend this scale for crafting, science, cooking/baking, weighing your parrot (true story) and just about anything else.

I have used this scale a couple of times per week for the last two and a half years. No complaints at all on usage. Very easy to switch units of measurements, the scale is sensitive and accurate, detecting the weight difference even in tiny additions of food/liquid. The batteries (3 AAA) never needed replacing. I was always careful to only wash the scale portion of the unit.When it stopped turning on after about 2 years, I opened up the battery section and found it all corroded. As I said I've I cleaned as best as I could and am still getting sporadic uses out of it a few months later, but it's no longer reliable. As one of the cheaper options, I'm not going to dock a star (it was an awesome low cost option for a couple of years!) but this isn't a "lasts forever" purchase. I will be looking to replace with a waterproof unit. I don't have many devices that get battery corrosion so maybe the kitchen area is just slightly too humid for this one? Not sure. Highly recommend if you need something cheap!

I confirmed the accuracy of the scale by cross referencing my measured weight with the post office scale weight. Knocking off a star because there is a picture of marijuana and 420 branding on the box AND this is not shown on the product photos. Fortunately the product itself didn't have any reference to narcotics.

I’ve love to use to my other kitchen scale by this same company but don’t like having to wash the top off if I’m weighing meat or something that could cross contaminate.So I decided to purchase another one! I love using it for baking and weighing out my meat that I buy in bulk from the meat market. Also for weighting different herbs from my herb garden. I’m so glad that I have two now!This one is very lightweight and attractive in my kitchen! It really looks nice. It’s also so easy to use and change from measurements (example gram, ounce, pound). Just the tap in the scale and it changes it for you. It’s been 100% accurate thus far while using it.I have to point out something that I appreciate so much from this scale that some may not care anything about. It runs off of batteries and when I turned it over expecting to go turn the house upside down looking for a small ‘something’ that would open the compartment. But to my surprise it didn’t have any tiny screws! You simply slide it and put the batteries in! Gosh I wish Everything has a battery compartment like this scales! Haha hey, sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference right?!Bottom like I love it. Looks nice, easy to use and and goes up to 13 pounds I believe it said. It’s a 5 star product in my opinion!

The "420 Garden Scale"... I find the name I'm using I got a good chuckle out of it, no weed included with scale.Now for the scale review:The scale is extremely accurate for measuring cooking ingredientsDisplay has a nice large print.Feet are level and the scale tray is level.Works with my 1.5 volt Li-ion rechargeable batteries, does not work with 1.2 volt NiMH batteries.A very good food or package scale for the price.

I’ve had this for several months now and use it frequently. Normally, I’d say you get what you pay for, but this is a fantastic bargain, without quality being compromised. Don’t pay the prices in the home or kitchen stores. This scale is simple. If you’re a little OCD like me, and you get irritated when a helpful person in your household divides up your bulk package of ground beef by estimating what they believe is to be equal parts, and then you go to use that last “pound” and it’s nowhere nearly enough, get this scale. It’s basic enough that even a teenager could figure it out.

Box says "420 scale" and shows pictures of weed, and inside the package are two random empty drug bags. This thing is marketed to dealers, which is hillarious but still illegal and the sort of thing that can get you kicked out of an apartment complex if the wrong person sees it. The listing should reflect this.Separately, it's very flimsy / fragile feeling, which I guess is why it's so cheap. Batteries are not included (requires 3xAA), so factor that into the price when comparing other brands. I haven't used it much but also don't assume it will last very long based on the materials used.
