Perfect. Sturdy but still flexible enough.

Great ruler
Great ruler. I esp. like the fact that the edge of the ruler is the zero point. We got these for our grade-school-age kids but ... I may end up using one of these! The metal is pretty stiff, you could bend it if you sat on it but if you treat it well this will last a long time.

Best quality 6" steel ruler on Amazon
Best 6" steel I've found on Amazon. If it had a depth gauge/pocket clip, it would be perfect. Same thickness as some of the cheaper rulers, but stiffer, higher quality steel (Kristeel if you know that brand). I like it is wide (19/32) and love that it has fine markings (8ths, 32nds, 64ths, and 1.0 & 0.5mm). Highly recommended.
